We stayed here in Feb for 1 week .. The experience was amazing, the hotel staff and manager ( Fred ) were exceptional The hotel is located at the end of the road so to speak but this in no way detracts from the excellent place it is, great location and great service is what sets it apart from other...

Really nice, quiet and relaxed hotel. Bus drops off directly outside the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. Arrange ski passes, lessons and equipment hire was super easy. Breakfast was a large and delicious buffet of Japanese foods and pastries. Bar area was a great place to relax with a hot chocolate and a fantastic centre piece fireplace....

We loved this holiday. The snow was incredible. To get to the hotel from Tokyo required a monorail, train, bullet train, and bus. But it was all fairly easy to do. Our friends had ski gear (skis, boots) to manage so they caught a taxi from Tokyo. They got there faster but it cost about AUD$175 per couple. The GM...

We stayed 4 nights late January early February. I chose this hotel because it is the highest ski resort among Shiga Kogen various resorts, ensuring good snow condition. It is conveniently located close to the bus terminal and ski lifts. The hotel rooms in the main oldest part of the hotel are a bit dated but spacious enough for Japan...

This is a great place to stay and ski. Okushiga is pretty well the furthest of the Shiga Kogen resorts from Nagano, so fewer day trippers and school groups seem to come here. At the same time, the resort interlinks by chairlift and gondola with Yakebitiyama and, further down the valley, the Ichinose resorts. The hotel was probably cutting edge...
