Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Kanha Jungle Lodge because we were going on safari in the nature reserve/park and it had been recommended to us. It did not disappoint; it was a beautiful place to stay.
The location was only 5 minutes from the Mukki Gate entrance to the reserve, so travel to and from safaris was minimal. The lodge is set in forest/woodland and is beautifully informal, yet classically Indian in design. - almost like a fairy encampment. Everything is extremely stylish right down to the refreshing drinks we were given when we arrived back from safari - everything from fresh ginger tea to crushed strawberries in soda with pomegranate seeds. So lovely.
There were lovely camp-fires every evening around which everyone drank and chatted before and after meals, the only sounds being those of the forest around us. Meals were often in the open air at beautifully dressed tables, including lovely floral decorations. Every detail was well considered and designed to enhance our experience of being in India.
Food was of a very high standard, creative and interesting.
There was a real commitment to the environment in so many elements of the lodge, especially the tigers and wildlife. All our guides/naturalists, whether in the park or during nature walks around the hotel were well informed and happy to share their knowledge.
There was a real effort to ensure that everyone enjoyed themsleves and was made to feel part of a small, however, temporary community.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Lodge to others and hope it continues to provide the excellent service that we received during our stay. Bill & Gill from Surrey

Rooms are far from the main road and the trees in the middle provide the perfect buffer to allow guests to feel the experience of the jungle. You can hear/see wildlife like birds, deers, even wild boars and see some insect life as well. There is a river at the back of the lodge where you can go for a beautiful walk and observe the beauty of the forest and maybe see some wild animals.
Staff is very courteous and great at personalized service. The food is exceptional and the chef and owners take great care of their guests and their preferred taste in food. From welcome drinks, tea to meals and desserts, every item is carefully planned to ensure something new is offered each time to the guest.
Owners are very attentive to the guests and are very experienced with the place and safaris. Tarun and Dimple Bhati are very knowledgeable and keep up the excitement of the jungle through their personal stories.
Fantastic place for a family or adventure holiday. Great food, service, stay and of course the jungle safari. A must visit !!

Situated amidst the lush green Sal Trees this beautiful property is situated in the Kanha National Park . It is one of the most beautiful property offering the best hospitality services.
Our Safari Clan stayed in this property from 14th May to 17th May . On 14th night after a tiring travel day we reached the property for a Warm welcome at the entrance with staff waving at us happily as we reach. As we entered the property we were greeted by the Owners of the property Dimple , Tarun and Jay . This 1st welcome experience made us realise that Yes we have chosen the right place for our Holidays.
Rooms were big and clean with adequate room amenities like electric kettle , tea , coffee , milk powder , hangers , AC , hair dryer ,laundry bag , cotton balls , ear buds , band aid , sewing kit etc. I was amazed to see such facilities .
Food was served hot and fresh with homely touch to it By Chef Raghu . He always discussed menus with us and made sure we are pampered.
Safaris were managed professionally . Nothing bothered us throughout our stay as everything was managed beautifully once we have done the full booking in advance.
Wildlife Sightings were Great . The Naturalist Rohit and Vinod which the hotel provided were experienced and professional throughout.
Stays very very peaceful and comfortable.
Standard of service are very high.
Food was of high quality.
Dinner ambience was lovely.
Staff is always smiling , courteous and helpful.

We, a workshop cum study group of around 34 had the opportunity to stay at this amazing Lodge in Early March 2021. The salient points of our stay here:
a. Rooms/Bathrooms: All tastefully done, fully efficient and very comfortable with all amenities inc running hot water.
b. Lodge Ambience: Superb, with open area's for resting and relaxation. The lodge was very well planned and looked after with beautiful foliage, dining area's and other areas which were clean and tidy.
c. Food and Refreshments: Tasty and Wholesome meals with an all day section for tea, coffee and snacks. Catering to 34 individuals is not an easy task but the hosts managed that beautifully and not a single person was dissatisfied.
d. Other Aspects: Staff were well trained, courteous and always available for any request raised.
e. Hosts: Dimple, Tarun and their extremely talented son, Jai were the perfect hosts, ensuring that each and every detail was looked at during the entire duration of the stay. Dimple made sure that all guests were well looked after and and Tarun assisted with the overall arrangements including being part time guide for Kanha National Park. A special mention of Supriya, Vinod and the amazing cooks who churned out meal after delicious meal for 5 days. Other support staff, almost 20 in number, all did their bit efficiently.
To sum up - This place is a must visit one for anyone looking for a 'real' holiday without noise or media clatter.
Most of us are definitely coming back, very soon.

I was recommended to this place by a friend and I cant thank him more!!
Its an amazing property very near to Mukki Gate; and it gives you the real jungle feeling. Ambience is preserved raw as jungle with a dedicated team of Naturalists who give you minutest of information about flora n fauna inside the campus.
Walk to Banjar river is thrilling, we saw a group of Wild Boar just behind our property and tiger scats in the pathways....
Rooms are well maintained, the management have cleverly utilized very small space and let the jungle grow all around. Hospitality is perfect, you will find loads of books to read and enrich yourself, and every naturalist has a story to share.
Food is bang on tasty and hygiene factor is pretty high. We went during this pandemic time and staff took proper care of the group and served us well. I highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip Mukki side of Kanha Tiger Reserve...... Go n explore it for yourself; a corner of jungle beside the jungle; where you can spend quality time with nature.

We stayed here for 4 days and it was a much needed break after the pandemic had eased out. We reached the resort at night after 8pm. The entrance for the resort was no where to be seen except 2 lights marking the gate. It was as if we were right in the middle of a jungle! As we went, lanterns showed us the way in from the car park to the common area and we were welcomed by the warm smile of Ms Dimple Bhati, the owner. Once inside, the jungle opened up to a area where we had our cozy cottages. There was a slight drizzle and the bonfire looked very inviting after a long day. We freshened up and had a wholesome dinner by the bonfire. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The all eco friendly things in the room was indeed very special.
The common area was very aesthetically pleasing with few decorative items, different types of seatings in beautiful colors, books on wildlife, few games and toys, a small bar, a information board, a small souvenir shop and the bonfire. One could feel that all things were well thought of and housed everything that one would need.
We were given hot water bags every day before setting out for the morning safari and before retiring to bed. It was much needed as it was cold and it really warmed our heart. The warm towels after returning from safaris also felt so refreshing.
The food used to be very tasty with a good spread and thoughtfully planned. We used to have lunches and dinners at different locations in the property including a candle light and bush dinner. Breakfast was also nicely packed for our morning safaris and the joy of enjoying the same in the midst of the jungle was unparalleled. Hats off to the cook who used to get this ready in the wee hours of the morning. No dishes were ever repeated during our entire stay and I still miss the wide variety of welcome drinks!
The resort had well trained naturalists (Vinod and Mukesh) who knew the jungle like their very own backyard. We used to have a great time chatting with them and listening to all their experiences. The nature walk in the property (with Supriya) was truly an eye opener and made us realize how everything co-exists. Ms. Dimple and her family esp. her son are true wildlife lovers who spend their time studying even the miniature insects. They love interacting with the guests and make you feel at home.
A place that is 100% recommended and I'm myself waiting to return 😇

As soon as you reach, you will be made feel welcome and "at home" at Kanha Jungle Lodge. The Lodge is an oasis of peace, calm and lovely people.
Cottages are spacious and well equipped. The beds are comfortable- subjective, not too hard and not too soft. Everything in the room resonates with the wildlife and handpicked knick-knacks decorates the rooms beautifully. There are small hidden corners like moth theatre, fish pond, little souvenir shop, a comfortable hammock under the sal canopy etc. enough to put a smile on your face.
Service is immaculate and thoughtful. With an array of various pre set cuisines, the food is just marvellous! Every, single staff member performs above and beyond what you ask for. For this reason I have not named anyone, but everyone truly performs. Some say this is not a challenge for a jungle camp, but to be greeted with a happy person at your doorstep to provide anything you could possibly ask for, is a great experience. The evenings are beautiful with drinks around the camp fire.
The rising star of the camp is Jai, who will make sure that you enjoy the wilderness of the camp. He can be actually seen in a documentary called Tigerland. Nature walks and safaris with him is absolutely thrilling. He will showcase and speak about every little creature that inhabits the forest.
This is no doubt one of the finest places of you are looking to have a relaxed holiday in the forest.
But above all it is the hosts, Ms. Dimple and Mr. Tarun Bhati who are dedicated to making ones stay as best as it can be. And that's why it is a must repeat destination for me. Thank you so much!

Not only do you experience the nature right at your doortstep, but you feel one with it when you are staying at the Kanha Jungle Lodge. The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities available and have patio opening up to the Kanha Forest. The food was excellent and served every taste. Each day brought new dishes which was a wonderful surprise. The warmth and attention by the Lodge staff made us feel pampered and cared for. Every small request was taken care of including our needs in the room and during our travel to the airport. Their hospitality and personal attention is what made our stay memorable.
Further, our adventures in the Kanha Tiger Reserve was fantastic with the Lodge providing us all the facilities while also sharing their years of knowledge of the park and its inhabitants. The safari were not only exciting but also helped us expand our knowledge and appreciation for the nature and its wildlife. I hope we continue to make visits to the Lodge and experience the nature in the way they have intended.

Amazing staff( only ground staff and not management) who goes out all the way to ensure you are comfortable.
That's the only positive.
All the properties on the mukki gate offer similar facilities. So if you have done some research you will get similar property at more competent price.
Although there was clear email and message communication with management on safari's I would want to do, the tickets were not blocked inspite core zone available on 3rd Feb. . The best part is they did not even tell me that tickets are not booked and I would have to compromise by just visiting buffer zone. As a result I spent most of the 2 days at the lodge with hardly anything to do which was extremely boring. So folks please ensure that you take it in writing before booking your flight available. I think they just took the booking to fill up the resort which has lot of rooms always available.
I was at this place to celebrate special occasion and came back disappointed.
