Bagh Tola is situated at the base of a Sal capped hillock just a short drive from the Mukki Gate of the Kanha National Park. The lodge is designed to replicate the secure residences of the British Raj, as they forayed into the 'inhospitable' wilderness. Within the elegantly styled colonial compound our guests are welcomed into an ambience where high quality services are proffered with Central Indian gentleness. Personalised service and attention to detail are extended in an inspiring jungle setting. Rooms: We scoured old houses of Calcutta, Balaghat and Mumbai. All the 08 rooms are complete with double four poster beds, comfortable rugs, old hunters desk and an attached bath. The rooms make a perfect retreat post a hectic day in the forests. Dining: Food at Bagh Tola is a simple and healthy home affair. The cooks have been selected and trained from the nearby villages. Special requests will be accommodated with advance information.

Tip: Mukki is one of the best places to stay in Kanha. If you’ve come to experience wilderness and tranquility of the jungle, mukki is the place to be. Consider this over any other overpriced properties in Kanha. Loved the staff and managers. The Place where you will feel at home.

We stayed at Bagh Tola for 4 days. We had a wonderful experience. The lodge is beautiful, lush green and homely. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and polite. A special mention for Eric n his wife Joy who made our stay memorable. The food and ambience was good. Thank you so much for making us feel at home Eric n joy.

Our stay at Bahgtola was absolutely amazing. The serene property , the amazing staff , the very friendly manager Eric and lovely Joy made our stay very comfortable. They went out of their way to make our celebrations memorable . The proximity to the park and the beautifully done up property was just perfect for our holiday. Hope to visit soon.

The hotel is small, charming and dedicated to people who like safaris. Eric and Joy, the managers, are charming.The rooms are very good, clean, big and with everything you need. Outside there is an area with benches where you can lie down, read a book, have a drink and warm yourself with a small bonfire. This is not a place to party. It is a place to do safaris, return to the hotel, rest and have a nice dinner. The food is very good. Eric and Joy sit at the table. You talk, you eat and you feel like you're at home. I am a nature lover. I have done safaris around the world. A hotel like this is exactly what I am looking for in these situations. In addition, Samnapur, the village where the hotel is located, is a quiet place where you can take a walk and see the quiet life of its inhabitants. 100% recommendable. An excellent place to unwind from the daily hustle bustle of city life ......set in the midst of a village background the location is just breath taking with nature all around . I would recommend this to those who want to reset their mind and soul . The place is run by a couple with their many local helping hands and are very sweet and accommodating and take care of you like family.

Arrived here after our stay at Bagh Tola in Bandgavargh. Was impressed with that, same excellent time here. Our hosts, Eric & Joy, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Eric, who seems to be a bit of a legend in the area, had trained both the other 2 managers in our forest hotels during our visit to India & runs a very tight ship. He also accompanied us on our game drives in Kanha Forest & was extremely knowledgeable about all types of wildlife. The food here was more traditional, but none the worse for that. Could not fault the hotel at all, would highly recommend!

A truly amazing property. Joy and Eric really take care of you from ensuring your permits are in place; to making sure that you are comfortably seated in the safari jeep. The food is delicious and very homely, Joy's baked goods are definitely to be tried. The staff is all so helpful and extremely courteous. You will be regaled with amazing stories from Eric about the big cats of Kanha. The rooms are well maintained and big the bathroom too. Highly recommended property.

Recently visited Bagh Tola Kanha. One of the finest properties ever visited. The property is surrounded by nature. Joy, Eric and team made our stay even more memorable. The entire team made us feel at home. The safaris were best in class experience, thanks to our driver Vikram. Additionally Eric really educated us well with forest and the various elements pertaining to it. I do not have enough words to express how much thankful I am for this wonderful experience. Recently visited Bagh Tola and met with an old friend Eric after more than a decade. As always Eric and Joy were the best hosts anyone can hope for and ensured that our trip was a memorable one. Their entire staff was so welcoming and the resort was all that we had hoped for. If anyone is visiting Kanha you have to stay there to experience the awesome food, hospitality and the people. They made us feel at home and I cannot express my gratitude towards them. The safaris and our driver Vikram made sure that we had the best experience. The overall knowledge of Eric and his staff is simply irreplaceable. If you haven't stayed there or met Eric yet you don't know what you are missing..... Eric, Joy and their staff are absolutely amazing. They pay attention to every little detail. Joy makes the most delicious food. The experience is like a beautiful home away from home. Eric guided us through Kanha NP and gave us a real education about the forest and the way different animals behave. We saw some stunning tigers, leopard, vulture, scores of birds, deer, langurs among others. I highly recommend this place for anyone interested in wildlife.
