MPT Safari Lodge, located near the Mukki gate of Kanha National Park is a perfect jungle retreat. You drive though mysterious trees to reach the resort. Once you are here you will the smell the jungle, so unimaginable in an urban surrounding.
We spent Christmas Day and Boxing Day at the Lodge. The hospitality, efficiency and the care that the staff took was well beyond our expectation. Special mention must be made of the Manager, Mr. Pradip Jadav and his ever willing staff to make our stay pleasant and memorable. Mr. Jadav personally accompanied a few tourists like us on the trail that ran behind the lodge and along the river. It was pleasant and a harbinger of things to come. The service was prompt and politely provided. A very thoughtful hamper of breakfast was neatly made for us to eat as we went along the safari in the early morning. I along with my family member however wish that the interpretation centre showed us a documentary that was more contemporary and insightful. The one being screened was dated and not informative about the rich flora and fauna that the forest holds.

The location is awesome, on the bank of the Banjar river. Forest gate is also not very far @4-5kms Well maintained property. They also arrange the safari pickup from resort (300rs charge) otherwise you need to go to the gate to board the Jeep. Please make sure you book the slots before travel visiting the forest department website. Please note, you need to pay 2500 for the Jeep and 400/600 for the guide on top of the safari booking charges.

One of the best resorts for anyone who wants to relax in the heart of jungle like ambience. Place is so well maintained, easy to reach. The rooms are so clean , comfortable . Food that they serve is very tasty and hygienic at the same time . Staff is very professional and they make your stay even more better. (For me they arranged the cake and celebration decor to celebrate the birthday) . Bon fire in open was good . Hassle free booking, they helped us in almost all the planning from hotel booking to jungle safari etc. Service is very prompt and professional highly recommended for anybody who is willing to spend a lovely time in kanha alone or with family. It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again MPT Safari lodge for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

This resort is fine if you are looking for an absolute basic stay for less than 5k a night. But the overall standard is quite poor and my experience was quite disappointing.
Rooms and bathroom are in urgent need of upgrade - towels, bed linens, soor handles, windows etc etc are rusted or broken or dirty.
Food is terrible, almost shocking quality with no variety. Full of oil and spices. Even the curd which they buy from outside is bitter/ sour. Really need a big change here. The 2 boys working in the restaurant were very helpful and polite, so my compliments for them.
Resort is not very big and it is located near the Mukki gate but still not really walkable distance. You must drive to the gate or ask the gypsy to pick you up. Hotel reception will charge 300 to call the gypsy for you, or you can self drive in your own vehicle to the gate, Rs. 30 parking charge.
Did not use the swimming pool and it did not look very clean either. Other than this, on the positive side - room had working fridge and AC and 4 bottles (500ml) of drinking water provided.
Resort needs a lot of improvement - start with the food!!

This was my 3rd visit to Kanha National Park and I chose to stay near Mukki gate this time rather than Khatia gate. I must say I did it exactly right when I booked my stay at MPT Kanha Safari Lodge, Mukki. The property is excellent and is located amidst the lush green sal forest just beside the Banjar River and is very close to Mukki gate. The staffs and the manager were extremely helpful. Food was out of the world. We stayed in AC deluxe rooms. The rooms and the bathrooms were huge and really clean. All the staffs took necessary precautions like wearing masks,using sanitizatizers etc etc in this trying time. I would definitely recommend the travellers visiting Kanha to choose their stay at this beautiful peroperty and enjoy the ambience and hosiptality. MPT Kanha Safari Lodge has its in-house naturalist Mr. Suren. Please ask the front desk so that he accompanies you in the jungle safari. We did 4 safaris in Kanha- 2 in Mukki, 1 in Kisli and 1 in Kanha Zone. Mr. Suren accompanied us in 2 safaris- 1 in the Kanha Zone and 1 in the Kisli Zone. We were able to spot 2 tigers in the safari to Kisli zone, thanks to the expertise of Mr. Suren!! The stay and the overall experience we had at Kanha this time will definitely be memorable and we would like to visit this place once again in near future.

The resort is located near Mukki Gate. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean. The rooms balcony are facing the woods and river. The quality of food is good. The Manager Mr. Manoj took pesonal interest looking after the guest. The vehile is available from the gate of the resort for the safari and they also packed the morning brekfast for taking along during the safari. The stay has been very good and memorable.

I was a bit hesitant in first being this a goverment managed guest house while booking. But on reaching there my idea completely changed . Mr Ashok Hedge the manager made my stay comfortable and memorable. The lodge is located on the banks of river Banjar. the rooms offered to us were river facing and the balcony opened into a forested area with a mesmerizing view. The property is nested within a forested area and offers a trail of around 3 kms within forested area for a small hike, during this hike one can go for a canopy walk which is around 3 storeys height . The food is excellent served as a buffet all three major meals .The property has a canter which also can be used in jungle safari. Else please prebook the permits from official site of MP government.

No compliment is enough to express how excellent was our stay. The staffs are extremely friendly, available, hospitable and always keen to make us to enjoy our stay. We went with the safari arranged by Hotel and it was outstanding. Hotel Manager is very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great; the chef had prepared our meals on our personal choice and use fresh local ingredients, it was very tasty and different from the ordinary cuisine. It definitely a recommended stay and visit.

I recently visited kanha on 20th December 2020 along with my family of 9 people and 3 kids. We stayed at MPT Safari Lodge which is just 500 mtrs from Mukki Gate. The stay at the MPT SAFARI LODGE was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and had the views of river flowing adjacent to the hotel. The resort is full of natural beauty. They also have a nature trail and canopies built wherefrom we can have Ariel view of the jungle. The food and service at the resort was excellent. The staff at the resort was very courteous and helping. I would like to specialy thank Mr. Ashok yede and Mr. Kolte for their efforts to make their guest comfortable even at midnight, we have been provided with room heaters and blankets at midnight as it was very cold at kanha. We have been also provided support for Safari booking as it was peak season and no Safari was available. Overall I would give a 5 star to MPT Safari Lodge for their excellent service and hospitality. Cherry on the cake we got to see 4 tigers.........
