This lovely hotel is in a very quaint location with the backwaters view from your rooms. It is a large property with detached conference/wedding set up and another building across the backwaters which is suite only rooms. It is a bit difficult to get in to the hotel due to the construction of flyover on the main road, but is usually manageable.
The hotel manager Mr Sirsendu has a good devoted and well trained staff as we found during our stay there. We had actually made a mistake and had not confirmed our rooms during the very busy period after Xmas. I will have to take my hat off to Mr Sirsendu who went out of his way and got his staff working relentlessly and found us the two rooms we needed without any fuss. The hotel rooms are very nice and large and has all the five star facilities that you could expect, good lighting, good air conditioner, sofa-cum-bed, desk and chair, lovely hot water throughout, complimentary mineral water, toiletries and lovely shower and separate washing facilities.
The staff are all very friendly; but we have to single out Priya Biswas and Mohammed Saneer who require special accolade for their caring, professional and serving us with a smile; always. They were always smiling and asking us if we required anything and went out of their way to oblige us. This was like on a daily basis and even followed us into the dining rooms to make sure that we were comfortable. We really appreciated this and thank them personally for this.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and so varied that I can just recommend to visit this hotel for this lovely gastronomy. We love the spread and the dinning options so much that we always book the rooms with bed and breakfast and dinner. The swimming pool is also very nice and the pool area is also very relaxing. However; we spent most of our time in the Ayurveda Spa which has excellent 2-3 day packages and works out at approximately £30 per one hour session. We did the three day package and were really well spoilt especially HariRaja (may have his name wrong?) who was so courteous and knowledgeable and treated me like a king. I benefited a lot from these massages and will certainly return again and recommend this Spa. The hotel is very competitively priced and is a paradise to visit and make this as your base and then explore the backwaters of Allepey and Munnar etc; as we did.

Everytime, my visit to Cochin, I stay in a newer and more luxurious(as per them) hotel but this time for a change, I stayed in le merdien, also because my purpose of visit was near by. I was pretty surprised and satisfied by them.
Starting from the warm welcome of security on entrance, the super cool, helping and friendly person in reception, (Mr.Vinu if I am not wrong), the staff in diner, bar, even the room service people, extremely well trained and always very pleasant.
Their breakfast menu is vast, pizza size when you do room order is big but tasty, I just loved the stay there and will definitely go there again.
Most important, they take cleanliness and hygiene super serious. They don't even allocate a room to a person unless it's sterilised for 24 hours after a guest vacates. Felt so calm and happy

We stayed here at Le Meridian for 1 night on 1st Nov and I must say it was super comfortable and congenial. Super precautions were taken due to this pandemic.I would give 10 out of 10 for Hygeine & sanitisation & all the norms.We used gym and all the equipment was sanitized after every use, before using gym our temp & pulse was taken. Shireen made our reservations very smooth & as per our requirement .Welcome at hotel was warm right from security guard at entrance to other staffs,special Thanks to Amit Thakur, Cijo Joseph,Vinu who made our check-in super smooth & made sure our stay was comfortable & memorable. Our driver Ranjith, gym attendant Shojimon and all attendants at dining took great care of us. Buffet dinner and B/F was lavish & very tasty, the food was served by the staff to maintain norm. The staff at dining was very warm and cordial and very quick.Every table was sanitized after use and seating arrangements were at a distance. Overall fabulous stay.

Stayed for 3 days in early Feb'21 and was honestly a decent experience. The prices were less than half of what we paid an year ago, though arguably the place is much cleaner and quieter. They sanitize bags and everyone has to wear masks in the common area. Food is as good as it always was and all the service staff wear masks and gloves in the dining area.
The only bad experience was when they hosted a Nikah ceremony one day and there were a lot of invitees and kids for breakfast, and it was a bit of a mess with the guests being noisy and not following proper guidelines - whereas you can't wear masks while you eat, since it's a buffet, a common courtesy is to avoid crowding at the counters, and avoid talking and catching up with acquaintances near the food. Then again, I can understand how the staff wouldn't want to put a damper on the party and antagonize the guests.
Overall, the experience was quite good, though not as lux as yesteryears because of the Covid protocols - no swimming pool, no spas etc., (but can't argue, since it's cheaper too)
Special mention to Cijo and Vinu for their service and help during our stay.

This is a great property well laid out but in today's times feels a little outdated Booking was quick and easy We came in at 1 am and Mohamed Sameer at the check-in counter was efficient and helpful Rooms were large and clean also good sized, clean bathroom with excellent hot shower. Great Breakfast Buffet with caring hostessing by Papiya caring and outstanding service from Abhishek and Lisa The kitchen staff made an extra effort to make sure my eggs were cooked right. Thank you We were a day early for a wedding so did a bit of sightseeing and shopping We hired a taxi from the travel desk and our driver Sajan was a fine young man who spoke good English and new Cochin really well We wanted to shop more than sightseeing and Sajan took us to all the little shops and places in Cochin The Mehndi and the Wedding were well organized at the Le Meridien facility Everybody enjoyed themselves although the food was disappointing This being a Marriot property it has been seriously neglected My wife and I are in the hospitality business in the US This place lacks that Marriot standard of quality and overall good-feel and ambience (food at Ember too is mediocre for Kerala) Needs immediate American style upgrading

After a long covid-19 season had the opportunity to enjoy my sisters marriage at Le Meridian Kochi. Though the spread was quite very high, they were all done in a very good manner. The hall was well arranged obeying the covid19 protocols, sanitisers everywhere, seats arranged maintaining social distance. Coming to food section, it was also well arranged in social distancing. There was a good selection of welcome drinks to welcome you.
The counters offered many dishes including biryani and kerala rice. The buffet counters were also well arranged with good service men. The dessert part was also good, though not with the usual spread. The programme was just only for very few people, our guests enjoyed a lot in their food and services with a great lake side view. The staff have been very friendly and were keen to welcome our guests. Amarjit, Jobit , Melvin, Shibu, Rahul,Sabresh,Prince,Cecil, and all others, the Le meridian team was there for all our services and well behaved which made our day the best.

Excellent service from Mr. Saneer. Enjoyed the stay as per covid protocol. The food and all services was up to the mark. We have selected 3 to 4 hotels for staying and finally concluded Le Meridian. I don't have to write such a review as it's crystal clear about the service and facilities available. Let me start from the reception. The time we arrived, All the luggage and our personal belongings were sanitized and the form related to covid was duly filled from our side. The rooms were excellent, well sanitized and cleaned. The food provided was excellent. I would recommend the same to everyone, and they are offering rooms at the best price in ekm. We are a family of 4 with small kids, so while Checking for paid quarantine services in the Government list, I shortlisted a few places including a few of other M-Far hotels. Space for me was the key. Tried contacting some in the list but was met with a lukewarm response. This is where the Le Meridien team showed their mantle:
Ms.Sherin( Reservation Manager) : Ms. Sherin made the process feel like a breeze. All the queries were answered on time, readily available to hear out our issues & providing suggestions whenever required.
Mr.Vinu & Mr. Ratheesh : At the west wing ,we were provided a room with a very spacious Bedroom and a living space. Mr. Vinu & Mr. Ratheesh made us feel at home right away, helping with our requests, providing additional portions, custom food for meeting the child's needs. We were shifted to the main building, due to technical issues, the complete process was handled very professionally & efficiently.
Mr. Jayash & Mr. Amarjith: At the main hotel, we were provided with an interconnected room, to compensate for the space constraints! This was totally unexpected, but that how Hospitality works. Here too, we were made to feel at home. Our children's needs were catered, they had space to play & it was a great vibe all around.
Almost forgot to mention, the food just unbelievably good, with more than sufficient portions.
all the pressure of traveling during these COVID-19 times was drained away during this beautiful 1 week stay. This was a great refresher !
As a wrap, I'd like to ask the Le Meridien to carry on with their great work. It was a great stay & I'll make sure to pass bye as the situation becomes normal.

Hi, Just checked out today post a 1 week stay.
The club lounge at the hotel is operational from 6 pm to 8 pm. The hotel was serving beer, house red and white wine. In food they had two veg and two non veg hot snacks, along with salads, cold sandwiches and deserts on offer which they changed daily.
There are more places to choose from in the Maradu area.
