I had the pleasure of staying at Royal Kruger Lodge last week and was very impressed with the quality of service care and attention we received. First we were picked up by Robert at the Airport and transported to the Lodge where Felicity the Manager comes out to greet you personally when you arrive and show you around the facilities....

Rooms were lovely-but would prefer in-room shower, not the outside kind (although the 'animal' tree was interesting); and pillows were not great. Food was fantastic - thank you Julia and staff for the birthday cake and birthday song! Robert, the safari guide, could sight a lion at 3km - amazing vision. We appreciated access to tea and coffee in the...

Accommodation, Food and Organisation very good, with one exception. For international travelers, the lack of showers in each room was unusual and should be fixed pronto. We were lucky with our safari's and spotted all of the big five, however the lions proved the most elusive and only got distant views

Exactly what so many of the reviews have said, it's really like staying with extended family. Everyone keeps an eye on you, feeds you and welcomes you with open arms. Outside shower isn't too bad if you wait till the sun is warmer in the afternoon & it's fun! Robert is fabulous - goes above and beyond to provide you...

We spent 4 nights at Royal Kruger Lodge, deciding to return after an initial stay in 2012. I'm glad I came back. The property/lodge is located in Marloth Park, which is approximately half an hours drive from the Kruger National Park, and shares a fence with them. The lodge itself is well laid out, with large clean rooms and genuinely...

Whilst beginning to show its age Royal Kruger is a comfortable lodge to be based at when visiting Kruger National Park. The staff are excellent and the meals superb - you will not go hungry! We recently enjoyed a four night stay at Royal Kruger Lodge and feel it was aptly named - we were certainly treated like royalty with a delightful staff attending to our every need. Very comfortable and well maintained lodge and the expertise of an "eagle eyed" safari guide, Robert, made this an experience we can highly recommend.
