Me and my family stayed at Cabot shore for one night and really loved how cute this place is. The staff are wonderful, Paul the owner was so friendly and helpful, he called me before my arrival to make sure i know how to get there, and stayed up late to wait for us to arrive. He gave us a...

"Truly a Cape Breton experience. The Cabot Shores staff were so thoughtful, hospitable, soulful, and much more. We were there late August 2014 for the music weekend - Wow! And we found time to explore the trail. One night in the yurt, three in the lodge - great time for our golden doodle too. We hope that our life journey...

The hospitality was warm and genuine. The accommodations were beautiful, unique and clean (we stayed in a family yurt) and oh the VIEW!! There were delightful surprises around every corner. Great for a family or a couple for a lovely wilderness getaway.

My name is Dwayne Côté and I am a Celtic international fiddler who has traveled extensively all over the world. Cabot Shores is magic to me and is filled with relaxation, tranquility, freedom and escape. If you get tired of your tent or motor home you can escape into a Mongolian yurt, a tipi, or a chalet. Also you can...

We will be back here many times! Our family of 6 had the most extraordinary time from hiking with Paul through ice cold waterfalls and swimming downriver with our backpacks on our backs, to our children learning the virtues of meditation with Barbara to quiet relaxation in our charming hot tub in the cedar barrel outside our yurt. We had...

Hi there, we remember your fantastic family of six and how willing, upbeat, and adventurous you all were - our perfect guests! We were so happy to take you on the waterfall hike, and Barbara was delighted to have your children at her morning meditation session. As you point out, the chalets are the best choice for a large family,...

There's a 200 character minimum? That won't be hard to accomplish. This place is little known gem. Great hosts, super views, surrounded by nature. The food at the lodge is excellent and the live entertainment makes one feel right at home. The cottages are clean and kept well...the owners do their best to maintain this resort as green friendly as...

Our family of 8 planned our road trip to Cape Breton not knowing how best to travel around or what accommodations we could expect. We decided to use Cabot Shores as our base for the week. It could not have worked out better for us! We wanted to make sure we had enough space for everyone and Paul set us...

Greetings Cindy, thanks for writing; we're so glad you and your family had such a great time here! Cabot Shores is indeed a good base for exploring the Cabot Trail, as anything along the Trail can be done as a day trip, after which one can return to the comfort of our chalets, yurts, or lodge (and Bistro, if you...

We spent four nights here in August 2014 and really enjoyed it. Wouldn't call it inexpensive, but it is in such a wonderful location - check it out on Google maps because it's hard to explain - but it has a large stream on one side of the property and faces a lake. On the other side of the lake...

When you arrive at Cabot Shores, you are immediately greeted like family, but like family that knows you well. They know just when to bring you into the fold and when to leave you to your own devices. Dr. Paul's walk to a magical waterfall was enlightening and invigorating, while Barbara's loving hand was felt through her wonderful food and...

The owners are super friendly and invited us to come when they were hosting a music festival. So, we brought our instruments and my husband got to jam with some of the excellent musicians who also stayed at the lodge. The property is located right on the river with the ocean beyond and the view is spectacular. Nearby or on...

Hi there, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. We were delighted you joined us for the Acoustic Festival and that your husband was able to join the jam sessions.
