Our stay at Cabot Shores was absolutely wonderful. We arrived late at night, but everything was ready for us when we got there. The room was beautiful and modern if just a little small - we had a playpen for our infant and it was snug (but it's not like we were there to spend time in the room anyway!!)...

Our Yurt was beautiful and had the wonderful scent of cedar. It rained one day but it was of no bother because the wood stove cozied it up while we read to the pitter patter of the rain on the roof. Our evenings began in the lodge where we were treated to beautiful meals and an impromptu kitchen party. They...

We stayed at Cabot Shores during an impromptu visit to Cape Breton Island in March. We very much enjoyed our time there, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We slept in the Cedar Yurt which was beautiful, and enjoyed a great meal even though we were one of two couples staying there at the time. It also looks like...

We came in the late winter and hence a quieter period. The Cape Breton terrain and ocean is immediate and refreshing. We stayed in the Red Yurt which felt so genuine and cheerful. With the wood stove going, it was a cozy contained environment. The main lodge was a settled comfortable place to read. Meals were delicious, well presented with...

Driving to Cabot Shores was a little bit of an adventure but when we finally got there it was amazing. We went after a snow storm and the snow covered wilderness was beautiful. Remote, cozy and comfortable if i were to summarize. There is no cell phone service but it was great to escape from technology for a little bit...

We are not always the kind of traveler who gets to a place and just likes to sit down, but this place was too enticing to turn back from. Pulling in at around 5:30 in the afternoon we looked at other things to do in the area, but soon got swayed to hang around by their warm and inviting common...

My wife and I stayed at Cabot shores with our soon to be 1 year old during march break and had a wonderful time. The owners Paul and Barbara were very friendly and accommodating and made our stay feel like a home away from home. The rooms were spacious and the food in the Gobistro restaurant will have us coming...

While this place was a fun weekend getaway, it has potential to be great. The yurts, located all around the property, are beautifully decorated structures, with handpainted details that make the interiors lovely and bright. With many acres of land and heaps of snow, the snowshoeing was relaxing and you could travel just about anywhere. The evening meal was simple...

We will definately be going back. The whole experience was refreshing. The food was delicious. I have a food allergy and was thankful for how accommodating the staff was. Will be talking about this experience for awhile.

“We stayed in the forest yurt, which is a bit farther away from the main lodge and therefore offered a bit more privacy.”

“Cell phones don't have service/wifi in the rooms, which was perfect for us! It truly allows you to connect with nature and not just sit on your phone. There is service and wifi in the lodge, if you need to work! ”
