L'Anse St jean is a picturesque little village and we were delighted to stay here vs Tadoussac. It was very convenient for a fjord cruise, offered wonderful hiking and was about 1 hour away for the whale excursions. The Auberge was comfortable, service was excellent and our one supper experience was very good. The rooms were adequate; we had superior...

Only stayed one night here, but had a room with 2 double beds - very comfortable with en-suite bathroom. In house evening dining was good quality (4 courses for a very reasonable price). Hosts were very friendly and provided good advice for further activities.

Despite the kindness of the owners the hotel is really old, smelling dusty and falling in pieces. The state of the maintenance is tremendous (only an example: in our room an old carpet was STICK with glue and fixed with screws on the floor to cover a piece of missing wood floor!). No comment about the dimensions and state of...

Stayed one night, after a great afternoon kayaking. Had been travelling through the saguenay. We were on second floor. Room was fine, fridge helpful and had a good and quiet sleep but what was great was relaxing on the balcony. Hosts were lovely and friendly with helpful suggestions when we needed. The food was fabulous at breakfast. Good value. Would...

A touch of genuine Québecois hospitality with excellent cuisine that is value for money. Décor is cozy old-fashioned country-style, charming despite some facilities (a finicky toilet, for example) in need of maintenance. The hotel overlooks what may be the cutest covered bridge in Canada.

very friendly hospitality, services and great food! though there was no a/c in the room, the weather was fine without it. Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Absolute wonderful stay. Location was perfect as it was close to surrounding activities.

(review en français à venir) We stopped at l'Auberge des Cevennes for one night during a road trip from Chicoutimi to Québec and after a long hiking trip to the montagne blanche in the Parc du Saguenay. We were completely tired and I wasn't sure if I was ok for 3+ hours of driving so we decided to stop there....

I am sorry that you did not like your stay. Why did you not tell us about the noise in order for us to intervene? I understand that you did not really want to stay in an inn, but that you were so tired that you take this decision. You chose a standard room, which is not expensive, but which...

A sleepy little town with a lovely inn offering breakfast & a gourmet dinner for extra cost! We had both and were not disappointed. The room was very reasonable. We arrived about 6 pm without reservations. (Our journey was a leisurely exploration along north St. Lawrence River and then returning on the south side back to Quebec City with no...

We spent only one night in this charming B&B in L'Anse Saint-Jean as part of a longer trip through the Saguenay region. We wish we could have spent another night. We'd arrived at the end of a long days drive from Montreal and enjoyed a third floor room that opened onto a shaded veranda (shared) will chairs and tables. After...

What an absolute gem! This little inn has it all: a beautiful location, nice accommodations, great views from the wrap-around balconies, and a restaurant that delivers amazing breakfasts and memorable suppers. We had a room on the 3rd floor on a front corner, so sitting on the verandah outside had a spectacular view up the anse and out onto the...

“The small room that I saw on the 2d floor was VERY small. Great for a single person. The inn is on the main road into town but it is a small town and while we were on a side room, we were close to the road and it was perfectly quiet enough for us.”
