We went for the Thursday evening meal special as non-residents. Very glad that we did as it was great value for money and a very pleasant evening. I would recommend it to anyone. The service was attentive but not intrusive.

We have just returned from a 3 night break at this hotel and I could not fault it. Hotel itself is so "cosy" and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating, lovely relaxed atmosphere, good entertainment and good food. Would highly recommend this hotel😀

Had the best time here, staff are amazing, friendly and helpful, gorgeous setting and highly recommended!!!! My room has a queen and single bed, and is immaculate. Bathroom is well lit, clean and well lit. The function room is absolutely stunning.

Recently I attended a family wedding in a nearby hotel and booked into the Downings Bay hotel for the night with my husband and little girl. Unfortunately as I returned to the hotel for the night, I slipped and fell on the entrance steps. On entering the foyer the main desk was unattended so I proceeded upstairs with my little...

Just back this week from our favourite Hotel again after having spent a few days there. Very central for exploring the beautiful sights of that part of Donegal. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Joan in particular at reception was just so helpful and went the extra mile for us, as she does every time we stay. Room...

Staff were pleasant and the food was good. However, the bar/restaurant was overrun by children who were very noisy and ignored by their parents. Rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed, so if your room is next to one occupied by noisy children and/or adults, good luck. Overall, not as grand as it would have you think and not value for money,...

This place is absolutely amazing , we went down on Thursday night for the supper club where you get 3 course and a glass of wine for €16 , it's unbelievable value. The place itself is beautiful looking and the staff are amazing, we were taken to our table by a lovely waitress with dark curly hair I think her...

I have been coming to Downings this 22 years, and have been in and about the hotel since it was opened. And I have never had a problem until this year. To say several of the staff members are rude is an understatement. The lady in reception barked at me when I asked for the wifi in the hotel. The...
