My wife and I stayed two nights at L'Olivette in late May of 2011. I have purposely delayed my review by six months so as to avoid a quick, impressionistic description of our stay. This said, we loved L'Olivette and we heartily recommend it to others. There were many things we liked but, above all, it was the meals --...

I have just returned from my third visit to L'Olivette which speaks volumes. Silvia and Roy are wonderful, welcoming, down to earth people. Roy’s food is wonderful - some of the tastiest and well seasoned food I have had anywhere. IMHO anything less than an excellent rating would be mean. All the other guest I meet there, from University Professors...

A great hidden gem nestled in the beautiful Pyrenees! Both Sylvia and Roy were truly lovely; providing us with all the advice we needed to make our stay memorable. Roy's food was simply breathtaking and our room was light, spacious and pretty. The fact that all the rooms have their own patio makes it feel really private and I would...

Silvia and Roy, who run this friendly and fabulous B & B, not only a great hosts but fantastic cooks. Both are native English speakers, and Roy has a great cooking style and ability. In fact, he was once Picasso's private chef for a couple of years. Make sure you arrange for a dinner in advance, and specify precisely how...

Roy and Silvia were great hosts and their knowledge of the region and the best places to visit continued to amaze us. The evening meals were excellent and the view across the valley was inspiring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay with Silvia and Roy and found it to be an excellent location for visiting the Cathar castles. Silvia and Roy are very hospitable and are eager to make their guests comfortable and feel at home. We had dinner with them both nights and had wonderful food and conversation that went on for 3 or...

We spent a week in Southern France recently, driving from town to town, and had booked accommodation for all but the last two nights of our trip. As we were flying out of Perpignan, and had spent our second to last night in Foix, we decided to stop over in Quillan en-route. And what a perfect decision that turned out...

l'Olivette is a great location for the airport, major towns, cute villages, and the Pyrenees. Roy and Silvia are the most friendly people I have ever met. They are very very helpful - can you imagine they have waited 8 (!!!!) hours with me at the Toulouse airport for my bags. They cook fantastic food with a lovely dinner-party atmosphere....
