Detailed Reviews
We've been a here a few times and have always loved it coz we have 3 dogs and they love it too..
Lots of walking routes for dogs, well fenced so pets are safe, staff are trained to deal with customers & dogs, and there's a pet pool too.
The resort area is very well landscaped and the food is pretty decent..
The cost is on the higher side since their customers are primarily pet lovers and mostly visit at the weekend

This place is very good and pet friendly. We tried this place for a night out. The pool and green areas are well maintained. Nice staff and the rooms were also nice. Spacious cottages.
Recommend Hideaway for a short break.

We were referred to this place by a fellow pet owner and found the online booking pretty straightforward. We drove down, as it was less than an hours drive from Bangalore, it was easy to locate as the place was on Goggle map.
The Hideaway is a small, quiet and neat recluse of about 1.5 acres developed on a 36 acre farmland. It operates as a homestay with the trappings of a resort. It has been pleasantly landscaped with water bodies, a wading pool for pets and a swimming pool. There are only 3 cottages with 7 double occupancy rooms. One of the 3 cottages has a ground and upper floor, housing 3 double occupancies. Each of the 7 accommodations is tastefully furnished and each has a bedroom with attached modern bathrooms - some almost as big as the bedroom itself. The bedrooms are not large but are compensated by the large veranda available to lounge around in the open. The rooms are provided with ceiling fans, which may be sufficient during summers too, considering the ambient temperature and surrounding foliage. Toiletries are limited to a handwash and a bath soap, so its advisable to carry your own toiletries and a hairdryer if required. There is ample storage available, with a wardrobe in the bathroom and a three drawer chest in the bedroom. There are no phones in the cottages and no room service available – an ideal setting with no disturbance – though housekeeping does visit your room once a day to change your linen and clean your rooms. There are pits provided outside each cottage for bonfires and cycles near the lounge available for rent. A small collection of selected books – fiction and non-fiction – is available for bookworms, who have not got their own. A hammock is available near the pool for those who love the foliage and would like to be in the thick of it.
The 36 acre property is well secured by an 8 foot perimeter wall which ensures no other animals stray in, therefore its safe to walk around the farm and wander around with pets. There is only one entrance and its well secured by tall gates and security guards. The staff communicates with each other with radios. The housekeepers, security and the cook are very obliging, friendly and manage the guests very well, leaving nothing to complain about. The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner was tasty and adequate but could do with some variety of non-veg in the menu.
On the whole it is an ideal place – as the name suggests – to get away from the maddening crowd for some total peace and quiet and having your pets along only adds to the experience. In keeping with its name there is no TV or wifi available, but you can remain connected with your mobile phones. The serenity and silence sure does bring you around to yourself.

Wanted a weekend getaway from Bangalore... landed in want can only described as the most hostile resort environment I have experienced. For the following reasons...
1. Was questioned why I needed a chair for my 3 year old kid to eat lunch.
2. Made to eat lunch in open dining area when it was raining ... manager said “ it is only raining slightly you can eat in this”
3. Was raining heavily in the night... manager as asked to “everyone in the family has to eat together or not eat at all” and asked as to stand in the small area in front of the buffet and eat. When we refused he argued and was nasty.
This is just some of instances of hostility that we faced during the weekend. Never visit this place with small kids or family. Never visit unless you want to revisit your worst hostel days.

I visited the place on New Year's eve, hoping to spend a good time with my family and dogs. When I arrived at the resort, the owner hesitantly said that there wasn't any chef that night. I was expecting him to offer me a refund but he instead chose to cook by himself. Dinner was served at 10:30 pm. To be honest, the dinner was not even worth the wait and the amount I paid. The food was very basic and a few meat dishes were raw. The dishes served were completely different from what was mentioned. Next morning, breakfast was served late as usual. The owner didn't bother to apologise. But, that didn't deter him from charging ₹400 for each plate that mediocre and tasteless food. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

The ambiance was good. They allow dogs. Vandana is friendly and helpful. That is all I can say is nice about this place. The walks around the resort are pretty uninspiring. The service is tardy to say the least. The food is very basic and grossly overpriced. Expected much better.

I am a pet owner and hide away is among those rare places where they welcome your dogs.
Pros 1st,
1. Lovely secure property, if your dog listens to you, you can leave him to stroll and he will be safe
2. Very friendly and decent staff, great thanks to Russell and Maggie for making our stay comfortable
3. Lots of trees around the property, beautiful lawns and cottages..if you are a nature lover, go.
4. Pls go after June when summer will be over, it will be extremely pleasant then.
5. Only 1 hr drive from sarjapur..so excellent short visit for us.
6. The food was homely, easy on stomach. Excellent salads and idli s. Even Dog food was in large quantity and freshly prepared.
7. If you are a runner or love physical activity there is plenty of space to jog or run.
Cons
1. The dog pool was not fixed, and that was disappointing because I was looking forward to my dog's first swim
2. They charge for tea and coffee and they are not included in breakfast buffet or evening snacks. I wasn't aware of this as I thought that tea is always served during breakfast and the check out bill was a shock.
3. Not enough activities for small kids. There is only an option for cycling (@50rs) and a pool. When I compare this place to our native village, my son had more fun there.
Overall I feel my 1 night stay of 4 people plus a dog was expensive and less value of money.
Tips to make your stay awesome
1. Carry odomos, you are in a farm, there will be insects
2. Carry your own drinks/beer. They take a nominal charge to put your stuff in their fridge and keep it cold
3. If you are staying with your dog, carry a flea/tick spray, extra bedding or old bed sheets.

+1
Awesome experience one can have closest to bangalore!
Good service, friendly staff.
Buffet is not included in the room rent and ₹475/pp is slightly pricy but they had decent variety and most of the food items tasted good.
Cherry on the cake is this place is pet friendly! However they charge 300 per pet as entry fees.

Its a lovely way to spend a weekend swimming, cycling and walking in the woodlands of the place. Pet friendly, has a separate pet pool. The food is local, fresh and flavorsome. Don't expect pizzas and pastas though. Rooms are large and nicely done. Overall value for your money.

Great place for a quick weekend trip with your furry buddies. My little one had the time of her life running around the property unleashed and jumping into the doggie pool every single opportunity she got! Vandana and Stuart were great hosts - friendly, informative and such good chefs. We rejoiced in the peace and quiet, sang around the lovely bonfires set up every evening and played with all the other doggos there. We still miss Fraser who's a gentle giant and such a lovable German Shepard who was rescued by Vandana. A must visit place for pet families to chill and just be!
