We booked what was supposedly the best room on phone, planning to spend the night there during our road trip through Gujarat. However one look at the room made us change our plan and drive on even though it was late. Stayed instead in Mundra at Hotel Shiv Nautica which had clean rooms (and bathrooms), linen and good upkeep.

The hotel is perhaps the 'best in town' but is situated bang on the road and overlooks a dry bed where wooden boats are built.

Poor location..in front of the creek. There was no water only garbages...badly stinking....only accommodation with no restaurant. For food u have to ask the staff and they will get the food for u which would be expensive off course. Rooms are not that great. We took a 4 bed room. Furnitures we're of very poor quality. In the room there was only one plug point for 4 persons which was not acceptable at all. For all big instruments like ac tv, the main power switch was out side the room..... wouldn't not be under ur control. There was nothing called service or hospitality. In short in future I wouldn't consider hotel sea view for stay. Also I wouldn't not recommend to anyone..

Perfect for Friend but avoid if you want to have a premium feeling here. All basic amenities are available. The Ghagholia beach is just an inch away which makes the location good.

The heater in the bathroom was not working but it was okay as we were travelling in Summer. The food was decent (not so great). We wanted some icecream but there was limited option.

Prefer only if you want to stay for a night and get going.

Very bad experience. This Year.

Once every year we visit mandvi but this time Sea View overcharged with no amenities, stinking bathrooms.
Age old interiors and mattresses.
And old blankets.

Better hotels available like Kalash, Mandvi Inn, Krl Inn, where rates and interior are far better.
Also seaview rates are higher than others.

Towels, soap and other toiletries were also not provided.

Check out time is usually 10 but we offered that we will leave rooms by 8 so that he can give it to some1 else.

Pending rooms also we checked out by 4pm giving 2 days charge.
Still he fought with us. Which was quite shocking.

We have had very good relation with owner but the fact remains that other hotels are charging less and providing better amenities.

Me and wife were doing a budget visit to Mandvi and Bhuj (over a weekend) when we stayed in this hotel. We felt the hotel was just OK but worth the fare it charges. Our choice of this hotel was solely based on lonely planet book. Don't be confused by the name of the hotel. It is not a sea view but yes since it is located right in front of the ship building area, the sea water comes between 12pm and 4pm - which is a fun to watch. Food is served in the room but not cooked in the hotel. Breakfast was cooked in the hotel and was not great. The good part was that buses of private travels such as Royal, etc. start from here. Also the local bus to Bhuj also starts right outside the hotel which was very convenient. Auto ricks are available easily and will take you to the beach for 50 bucks or so. So all in all a decent place to spend night in Mandvi.

In relation to the price the rooms are really goot value (we paid 650 Rupies for a non AC standard room). Of course it is a Indian budget hotel with a bit old fashioned and dusty rooms. But for the standard of Indian budget hotels they are clean, there is reliable hot water for bucket shower and staff is very friendly and helpful.
The only downsides were the fact that there is no Wifi available and that the breakfast (not included in room rate) was not so nice.

Located near the beach, Hotel Sea View offers you good rooms and warm service. A person is available 24/7 for check-in and other requirements .The lift from the parking lot enables easy access. A good option for a stay in this locality of Mandvi.

Stayed here during business tour. It is basically a lodge with face uplift. If your expectation are like this, you will not disappointed but if you are expecting a decent mid range hotel then this is not a choice. This hotel is not having inhouse dining facility. Rooms are small and stincky. Bathrooms are small andsmelly.

In sort you may avoid this hotel.

Changes to our travel arrangements meant that we could only stay one night in Mandvi. We greatly enjoyed our visit. Our arrival was easy as the Sea View is only 200 metres from the ST Bus Stand. We were given a friendly welcome at the hotel and shown to our large, spotlessly clean room which included a well-furnished sitting area with sofas, a table and kettle. We had a great view of the shipyards and the river with its flamingos and other birds.
The Sea View is on the edge of the old town with its lively markets and shops but is quiet at night. We walked through the old town and on to Wind Farm Beach, an interesting 2km stroll. This was a week after Diwali, still in the holiday season. The beach felt like the happiest place on earth with families and groups laughing with enjoyment in the water, on the camels and experiencing all the other attractions on offer.
We experienced excellent service at the Sea View. We asked for breakfast in the morning – superb omelettes were brought to our room. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. I booked the room from the UK and was able to secure the booking by making a bank transfer.

Nice clean rooms. Good facilities. Very friendly staff, it is a family affair with father and son running the show. Both are very courteous and friendly. Morning breakfast is prepared in-house and is definitely quite good. Though I would have liked the bathroom to be in better shape. Yes, there is instant water heater so you get hot water whenever you need.
The water body in the front of the hotel is not that great. The area is dirty and there are these huge boats being built in that place.
Overall a very good budget stay for a night or two if you are in Mandvi

"There is one standard room with access to the roof terrace (3rd floor), unfortunately it is the most shabby one. We chose a room on the 2nd floor with big windows overlooking the shipbuilding yard - from all the rooms we saw, this was the nicest one available for standard room rate."
