Stayed at The Derby Arms for a second time now whilst visiting the mountain festival in Kendal. Our first stay here was excellent and this trip was no different. The Derby Arms was very easy to find . Ample parking and well lit . We were welcomed straight away . Our room was lovely , small but perfect . I loved the antique furniture and pictures . Fantastic place for people looking for a place with dogs, fantastic English Breakfast on the weekend. Great pub, very nice people. Definitely will be staying again. Walking area close by for walking the dogs

A short break to get away from everyday routine.And to be able to be close to places to visit.There are lots off places to see and within easy access from the Derby Arms,where the room and food we're very good and we we're made very welcome.Would definitely stay there again.

Arrived evening and given keys and taken to room by the barmaid. Turned out this room is directly above the bar and the noise so bad we couldn't sleep and had to get up and go down to tell them (no phone in room) No move offered even though barmaid confirmed hotel not full . We booked two rooms for a short break. They looked great in the pictures but things that could be easily fixed badly let them done. Your friend were in Room 1.
