Our stay at The Derby Arms on our wedding night was perfect. The staff couldn't do enough for us to make our time there special. From the moment we arrived until we left they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic and we were treated to a couple of extras...

Having finished an enjoyable local walk, we popped in for Sunday lunch. Although we hadn't booked in advance, there was plenty of room as the dining area is quite extensive, split across 3 rooms. The staff were all very welcoming from the moment we walked in and there is a well stocked bar with a good selection of local real...

Only stayed one night as breaking our journey from Devon to Scotland. It is a wonderful and peaceful pub with rooms, we had a very comfy room, and warm, and great evening food. Quite the best breakfast bacon I have had in a long long time. Have booked again for June as travelling south and looking forward to another visit

We enjoyed our overnight stay here for the 2nd year running on our journey down from Scotland. Friendly service with great food and drink combined with a lively atmosphere. It's a traditional 18c inn set in lovely countryside on the edge of the Lake District.

Very hospital with lovely rooms and a second to none breakfast. The beautiful Morecambe bay is nearby as is the village of Cartmel which is a delight. This includes the wonderful L'Enclume 2 star Michelin restaurant.

We were staying at the nearby Meathop caravan site and chose here for Saturday night. We ate early because of the kids. Kids portions were excellent. I went for the black pudding starter from the specials menu and the steak and ale pie. Both were gorgeous. The pie was homemade and the beef melted. My wife's sea bass was also...

Had lunch - friendly staff - simple dining room without frills although there was a display of pottery figurines. The food choice was good and interesting but what was delivered was a little bit of a let down for the price. Chips were soft and fluffy inside but not as crisp as they should have been; lamb hotpot was tasty...
