Good menu i particularly enjoyed the salmon with asparagus rissotto and the daughter loved the sticky toffee. well kept beers, dogs allowed, and breakfasts that set you up for the day. What more could you want especially when the...

This is a lovely unspoilt pub. Open roaring fire, good food and well kept beer. Staff here are great, really helpful fitting you in if you haven't booked and remembering that you went a couple of days before. Wish it was my local.

Lovely stay last week for a long weekend. Comfortable room, fab food and really friendly, helpful staff. A properly dog friendly place to stay. I love his place and can't wait to go back. Felt as if we were staying in a friend's house. Thank you all!

Having dined here in The Summer, we decided to return and stay for a few nights. Had a very relaxing break. We dined here both nights and had very good service. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was cosy, a little noisy as it was over The Bar, but that didn't bother us. Will definitely return.

We popped in for a drink and some snacks and we were welcomed like old friends! Stunning pub with bags of character! The barman was so welcoming and happy to help. I would highly recommended a visit! Food looked lovely although we only had enough cash for crisps!! Lovely local ales!

This was a trip with two American couples so that they could experience the best that the Lake District has to offer, and to satisfy an ambition to visit Beatrix Potter's house (which is next door). Our friends loved the cosy rooms, named after dialect words for counting sheep. The village was peaceful and charming, and the breakfast superb. I...

Visited Tower Bank Arms on a chilly Sunday evening in October for a meal. The food was excellent and not too pricey. The atmosphere was lovely, especially with the roaring fire, and the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

We popped in here before visiting Hilltop and were made really welcome by all the staff. We had a fantastic and good value lunch- my husband's steak sandwich was well filled with tasty steak and the chips were the best we'd eaten in a long time. Good beer too. Everyone who came in was greeted and welcomed and the atmosphere...
