We always visit tower bank arms every time we come to the lakes as it never fails to disappoint. We popped in for lunch on a lovely Saturday during a fantastic walk from hawkshead over Claife heights. The pub was as welcoming as ever with a beautiful fire, lovely sandwiches and beer and wine served by the friendliest staff you...

I booked 2 nights accommodation last minute for New Year and luckily these guys had a cancellation. The pub itself is wonderful and exactly the type of place I was looking for in the Lakes, quaint, cosy, log fire, and very friendly staff. The food was fantastic and on NY eve they included a gala dinner in the room rate...

Had been told before our stay in Far Sawrey that this pub us very popular so need to book if you want a meal. Managed to book for our last evening meal. Pub very quaint and cosy and really friendly. Food was excellent and reasonably priced with good selection of wines.

Lovely country pub ( only downside parking is down the Rd ) but no a big problem because the inside is warm and welcoming we only drank here but the lunch menu looked delicious would loved to have gone back but we were too far away Was nice to see two horses tethered outside whilst their owners were having lunch...

Lovely place. Had a meal and a bottle of wine infront of the fire. Food great, wine great, ambience amazing. Friendly staff, who allowed my partner to be chief fire stoker, which he took great pleasure in. Would definitely return

Simply the best and most friendly in the Lake District. Great atmosphere, menu, staff and management. You won't be disappointed the beers and bar drinks are in many cases lol cal and the fireplace in the bar area adds to the ambience. Beatrix Potter history too. Thank Anthony. Paul and Linda.

Our second visit this year and we were pleased to see that nothing had changed. The log fire is constantly tended by one or other of the staff, there is no piped music or other suchlike distraction, well- behaved dogs and children are welcome (the children until 9pm anyway), the cask ales are properly kept and the food is tasty...

This is a small pub and we struggled to get a table in the half term week. We managed to book for the last night of our holiday and we had booked the table by the fire. When we turned up at 7.30, our table had been given to another couple and they said we were booked in at 6.45....

Four of us were staying at a self-catering property close by and stumbled on this pub on our first night. Fabulous selection of local beers, very knowledgeable and helpful staff and delicious food - what more could you ask for? Needless to say we were there every night, booking is essential if you want to eat. Which we did on...

This is a very cosy pub with a welcoming fire near the Beatrix Potter Hill Top Farm House. Excellent lunch, good beer and wine. Get there early as it can get full. Looks like a very good B&B. If the lunch is anything to go by their breakfast will be very good. Very friendly and helpful staff.
