The property is about a 5 minute drive from Hawkshead and it sits in a serene location overlooking the lake and countryside. The room we had was well furnished and a reasonable size. The en-suite was very small but was ok, though the shower was in need of attention. Note that there is no Air Conditioning and with only one... More

I'll definitely be returning here. Friendly, helpful & accommodating staff. Excellent food. The spacious room had everything I needed including sewing kit, shoe polish and bit if complimentary sherry! The surroundings, overlooking Esthwaite Water, are stunning.

Very comfortable, welcoming room with amazing views. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Lovely, peaceful location with good walks nearby, a couple of pubs within walking distance and not far from the ferry to Bowness.

I booked a weekend away for my partner. When we arrived we loved the location straight away. It's hidden away in a very quiet part of the lakes.the hotel was nice only down side was no shower in our room but that was my fault for not picking a room with a shower. The breakfast was one of the best... More

I stayed at Ees wyke for one night. I found the hosts friendly and informative. The house is very peaceful and lovely surroundings close to walking routes. The rooms have a nice character and kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast was impressive. Overall a lovely 1st visit and I will definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely stay at this guest house. It is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and the house is beautifully looked after and presented. The room was lovely and looked after with lots of thoughtful finishing touches that you don't find in many guest houses. The landlord couldn't have done more to make us welcome - his... More

We had a lovely weekend stay at this quality hotel. We had the Blue room which had lovely views of the surrounding countryside, lake and fells and was ensuite. The welcoming sherry in our room, which was a first for us, was much appreciated. This is a period hotel and the chosen décor and furniture suited it perfectly. It was... More

Wow Ees Whyke is really beautiful. It is set in the lovely tranquil countryside at Near Sawrey and the views it has over to the Langdales (which were snow capped when we were there)and down to the tarn were absolutely beautiful. The hotel is tastefully decorated in a style that suits the house perfectly and is well looked after. We... More
