We rented a studio cabin, number 10, for two nights. This turned out to be a great choice. The cabin is in a quiet, secluded location, set at the back of the property, looking out at trees, and next to the charming path that leads down to the lake. The cabin has a modern decor inside, is well equipped, and...

My three cycling mates and I stayed after a tough first day of the event. Very helpful staff who accommodated our needs very well despite being late in the day. Being able to use the laundry (thanks for the powder!) late in the evening was a real bonus.

This is a great place to stay. There was a horrible smell outside the room, like a dead fish. I asked the staff about getting a coat hanger and the lady said 'the rooms are very simple and don't come with coat hangers'. The rooms are nice though.

We came here for one night after doing the Traverse Sabine circuit and had a great stay. The facilities are very clean and staff are very friendly. We had previously stayed down the road before the hike and wished we had stayed here earlier instead.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful hosts and an excellent studio unit in a beautiful setting. The location is perfect, as it's an easy walk to the village for food and supplies. Plus, you can follow a trail behind the property right down to Lake Rotoiti. Couldn't be simpler. The studio unit is nice, with plenty of room and...

Have stayed there twice. Both times was impressed by the comfort, cleanliness and service, not to mention the roaring fire in the lounge. An excellent place to use as a cheap base for exploring Nelson Lakes area.

Stayed in dorm room for one night before heading into the park for the walk up to Lake Angelus hut. Booked the bed over the phone as I was arriving late - the woman assisting was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms were all spotless and well equipped, and laundry facility was very handy. This is a great option...

Took bed in dorm in backpackers, although separate rooms for couples/groups also looked good value. Pricier motel units available Well-equipped kitchen. Everything spotless I stayed there before and after excellent 5-day Traver-Sabine Circuit, but good place also just to hang out, and do day walks, cycling etc. Many were doing Angelus Trek Close to lake for swimming, and 50 metres...
