We attending a wedding recently, and we live local to Maesmawr, lovely setting and building, however I was disappointed ti find they do not supply Fruit shoot (or similar) for children so they are given a glass to drink from, and it is not relaxing to watch your 4 year old daughter drink from a glass before rushing off again...

Expected far more for the price of a suite (room 23). No internet working in room. Had not been told when booking that toilet and bathroom downstairs. No fixed heating. Noisy portable heater. Excellent breakfast and pleasant enough staff. Lunchtime function with 70 others very successful. Just let down by overpriced accommodation.

Lovely place with friendly staff. Good portion sizes. Served with wales in mind. The venue is marvellously presented period property with many original features. The best was the lovely cosy log fire in the sitting room. Well worth a visit.

We stayed 15th October 2016 absolutely perfect from beginning to end. As always we had our 4 year old daughter with us who was the only child in the hotel, as is more for couples I'd say. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to accommodate the 3 of us even though they don't have family rooms....

My friend and I stayed here for a meal and an overnight stay. Lovely surroundings and wonderfully restored period property with many original features, especially my timber framed bedroom. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ate A la carte in the restaurant and while the meal was Ok, it was a little disappointing for the price. I felt...

A nice meal with a family, able to accommodate children. Good food and portion sizes for the main. Very tasty dessert. Quick service and lovely surroundings. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

I recently stayed here for a wedding party. The downstairs is lovely and a fantastic wedding venue. The staff are lovely and food was excellent. However, a captive audience means they get away with charging top dollar for food & drinks, but that can be forgiven. We stayed in the mail hall in a standard double which cost £115 for...

We booked the executive suit for our 2 night stay and we couldn't have asked for more. We checked in very late, around 11:30, but there were still staff on hand to help us check in. Initial impressions were great, the driveway is lined with trees and it around 30seconds drive long! Our room was fantastic, the suite was immaculate....

We went for a birthday meal last night at the hotel. Around 20 of us were seated at a beautifully laid table. The staff couldn't do enough for us, keeping up with our food and drink needs all night and service with a smile. Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you for a great night.

My husband and I stayed, overnight, here on our way to North Wales. What a delight! We were upgraded to a suite and I was amazed that it was actually at the very top of the Hall. It was worth the climb up the the ever decreasing size of the stairs and the fact that care had to be taken...

Dear Kieth and Sandie, On behalf of all the team thank you for your lovely review. The room you stayed in, is as you point out very quirky in its point of access and opens into a very unexpected space. It is very nice to read you were transported to another era and hopefully we can continue to remain just...
