This was a small bespoke hotel. The room we were allocated seemed small, but the wardrobe was in a lower area with dressing table, so not too bad, bathroom small tho, but good shower over bath. Lovely toiletries and fruit, water and sweets in room. Could see the sea (just) from our side window. Room kept clean. Breakfast was good...

Quite a happy place to see after a very long trek from Portscatho! Our snug room was beautiful with 2 windows to catch the breezes. Since we were all on a walking trip, we'd probably prefer one less piece of furniture in the so we could spread out suitcases and backpacks, but some people wouldn't care. Again, not terribly small,...

I booked this hotel for a two night break as it was our 20th anniversary. The hotel is situated on a slipway which has a few fishing boats on it and leads down to a little beach in a cove. The reception staff were very friendly and took us to our room which was in a separate building but just...

Very disappointing stay at this hotel. This was booked as a surprise two day break for my husband. Paid top price for a De Luxe room with sea view. The first room we were offered required you to lean out over a balcony to see the sea. They showed us a second room (103) which had a great view of the...

We stayed in Middle Cottage at the Lugger Hotel in June 2015. The cottage is small but perfect for accommodating two people, it has a cosy bright lounge and double bedroom both with great views. There is also a good sized bathroom with shower and separate bath. As you enter there is a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and...

First went here in 1976 when it was "just" an inn whereas now it is a small bijou hotel. Got an excellent deal via the web a few weeks in advance which the hotel themselves couldn't better. Fabulous position, very good food, our room perhaps a bit small and the bathroom could do with updating but we had a great...

My husband pondered on whether I should write a review as he suggested we shouldn't let too many people discover this gem of a hotel! I booked a nights stay here as a surprise for my husbands birthday. We only live about an hour away but the delays due to the widening of the A30 made the journey somewhat longer....

We spent a few days in this lovely hotel. Right from the minute we arrived we were delighted. Staff very friendly and helpful. As this is a very private bespoke hotel and many years old there was no lift but a staff member carried our bags to our room. The room and bathroom were perfect in every way, so personal....

I was a bit worried by seeing some of the less than complimentary reviews of this hotel before we arrived but I needn't have been. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was terrific and our mid-priced 'superior' room was clean, bright and airy. We could even see the sea from the open window although we hadn't forked out for...
