We stayed for 2 nights at this delightful hotel mid January having been some years before. We had a lovely stay and would recommend anyone to stay here Highlights? Quiet harbour location with sea views from the restaurant. Super menu which provided well presented, innoventive and tasty cuisine. A stunning coastal walk to Portscatho from the front door where a...

Having just read the other recent reviews, I feel a need to add our comments also about the Lugger Hotel. We have just stayed for 6 nights (a much needed R&R break for my partner after recent stressful times), so was looking forward to a substantial break with lie ins, long walks lots of fresh air, all accompanied with plenty...

Dear Jeannie, Thank you for writing this review and I am so sorry about the lift problem which as mentioned was the first time I had experienced this problem. As you say an alternative room was discussed but I believe you did not want to move as you had so much luggage, if I got this wrong I apologise. A...

We stayed at the Lugger in early December for a one night Dinner, Breakfast and room deal. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. The hotel location is amazing right on the harbourside with the restaurant enjoying direct sea views. Make you sure you visit the nearby Ship pub for a traditional pint of real ale. A...

This was the first time that we have ever stayed in a Hotel over Christmas. We chose the Lugger because we had stayed there before and the Christmas package did not include entertainment or other forced jollity! I will start with the good points. The staff are outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. From the General...

The Luger combines an amazing setting, one of the best sea views and extraordinary attention to detail. Portloe is a classic Small Cornish fishing village.. The hotel occupies a prominent position perched on the edge of the fishing boat landing ramp, surrounded by lobster pots and with room views over the Portloe water front. How very kind you are with your praise, the team do try very hard to be professional in their approach but remain approachable at the same time. they enjoy what they do and hopefully this is what comes through. We booked a long weekend at the Lugger with the intention of a bit of "get away from it all". Excellent food, comfortable rooms and balmy clifftop walks. The service was faultless also. What a great little find this was.
