Found this by being on the M50 diversion on Saturday, and decided to stop on our return journey Sunday! Staff were welcoming. Nice bar area with a pool table and TVs. Stayed to have lunch, was great to have a menu available not just a Sunday roast. Food was good, and reasonable. Very clean and tidy. If you are passing,...

Form the outside this place has potential with a well maintained attractive hotel and a main road in a rural location. The staff, particularly the youngish male, are smiling and helpful and reasonably speedy. everything else is tacky; scruffy décor, overcooked shrivelled up food and help yourself to the bottles of vinegar & sauces etc... from a table in the...

It was just terrible, light on all night just outside the bedroom windows, shower did not work and when I reported it they couldn't care less. Loads of heavy road noise. Very very dated. We booked two rooms and both said we would never stay there again. We are both country girls and used to sometimes roughing it but this...

Wish I'd seen the previous reviews. There's no way you want to stay here unless you want to take bed bugs home with you. As soon as I saw the state of the bedding and mattress I packed my bags and told them I was leaving, even though it was a dark wet night at 8pm and nowhere else booked...

We went for my 30th just me and my partner. We booked the double room that looks across the lake with a 4 poster bed :) We have no comaints. We did judge the book by the cover when we first arrived which we learnt was very wrong. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, food was 5 star absoloutly amazing...

We have had Sunday Roast at the Watersmeet for the last few years on every visit to the the area, it's exceptionally good food. The starters are also fantastic. The barman, Gary is a helpful and friendly chap. We always call in when over for the Cheltenham Open Meeting.

On arrival there was no reception to go to and book in, you have to go into the bar where everyone is which is uncomfortable, as they are all there listening to what you say, the man behind the bar gave us a key with no number on it and said its on your left and that was it. So...

We booked a family room for a two night stay. The room was good size but it was dirty and dusty, there was a black damp patch on the ceiling above our daughter's bed and stains on the walls - like something had dribbled down it. It also smelt damp. The en suite looked old fashioned but functional at first...

My friend and I are middle aged ladies and booked our rooms in order we could stay over and watch the BD convention. The food was great and the staff went out of their way to look after us. Nothing was too much trouble. The place is warm and friendly and not expensive. We will definitely return.
