Good local bar to drink in but avoid eating here! I ordered a rump steak, not modestly priced at £19.50 and was very unimpressed with sinews of fatty tissue running throughout the whole piece of meat. When I complained the waitress replied "we don't normally have any complaints!" Well, obviously my fault the steak was synonymous to a bundle of...

Stayed for one night at the weekend and was highly impressed by every aspect. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The pub itself is cosy, the wine and ales are excellent and the staff could not be friendlier, from arrival and being shown to the room, to service at dinner. The food I thought was excellent. We had the...

Well I can't really give you an unbiased view of the Kings Arms as it's my local pub. I can say they serve good food, especially the pizzas. The beer is very good and the staff take care to offer a good varied selection. It's important to remember this is a country pub enjoyed by lots of locals, and their...

The food was great, breakfast was super-generous and fab. Re: the room - we stayed in the Bouncer and found the bed to be rather shaky, squeaky and as a result made our night a bit uncomfortable. And also, while there were tea bags and coffee in the room, there was no milk - a bit odd.

Let’s start with the positives, nice hotel, the staff are great, the service was fine and the food was excellent. The room however was entirely unacceptable. We stayed in the three bed cottage and reading the other comments here, we should have realised that this is a problem room. Our complaints were dealt with in a professional and adequate way...

Bought this prize in the Woolsack Auction in Tetbury. Visited 16th September. Welcomed by Mark and all his staff who were both friendly and helpful. Great feeling in the bar for drinks and then through into a very well decorated and private Dining Room. Menu was great and our choice of food excellent. The starters of Squid and Halloumi was...

Arrived on a very busy Friday evening. Car park was totally full. Went in to ask for directions to parking but one of the staff rushed out to move their car to allow me to park. What a great start and totally indicative of our stay. Showed our room (Bobtail) a 2 bedroomed cottage separate from the main building. Two...

Table 6 in the corner of the restaurant was a brilliant position for privacy! The food was straight-forward and delicious. My colleague thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips, I had the Monk-fish rolled in Parma Ham on possibly the most delicious Coronation style sauce I have ever eaten. I was told the the Gem beer was good and my PG...

Food including homemade pizzas was quite good but the sting in the tail was I feel being charged £28 per bottle of Prosecco!! I pointed out it would have been cheaper to buy by the glass!! Added to this the 10% service charge I don't think I would visit again. Felt ripped off?

The room was average but the bathroom was disgusting. Dirt, grime & rust. Toilet didn't flush properly. No soap provided & extractor fan thick with dirt.Based on a very busy road ALL hours. Got woke up at 2.45am with a member of staff returning from a night out. Their rooms are situated above guest rooms. Stopped 2 nights & had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The King's Arms is a cosy country inn nestled deep within the stunning Cotswold countryside. Combining modern comfort with rustic elegance, each of our cottage-style bed and breakfast rooms have their own individual character. Named after the prize-winning hounds from the nearby Beaufort Hunt, each room includes sumptuous features such as king-size four poster beds, ivory sheepskin rugs and luxurious Feather and Black mattresses and duvets which altogether ensure a relaxing and comfortable night's slumber. Two spacious self-catering cottages are ideal for families and larger parties looking for their own private Cotswolds hideaway. Our restaurant is renowned for using the freshest locally sourced produce.
