Afternoon Tea – An Absolute Delight Four of us had a reservation for Afternoon Tea on Sunday. We were absolutely amazed by the level of customer service displayed by the staff of Glenlo Abbey. The receptionist (Sandra) had a warm genuinely welcoming greeting when we arrived. She nipped off to ensure our table was ready. A number of staff passed...

We stayed 2 nights and wished we had booked a longer stay. Located just outside the quaint town of Galway on a beautiful site. A four star restaurant in the old Orient Express train cars was a highlight. There is a lovely golf course as well. The bar was quite lively and we enjoyed some excellent fish chowder there. Our...

Once we viewed Glenlo Abbey as a potential wedding venue, we knew it offered us exactly what we were looking for. The picturesque backdrop of Lough Corrib coupled with the elegant setting of the hotel itself made for the perfect venue for us. Gleno offered us all of these things, together with the unique ‘relaxed Galway feel’ which is hard...

Glenlo Abbey is perfect for those seeking a luxury resort experience. The grounds are lovely, the room is large, romantic, and luxurious, and the breakfast is outstanding. The service was also excellent! They even retrieved our bags from our car. It is about a 10-15 minute cab to downtown Galway.

Our wedding day at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel was the perfect occasion! From our first meeting with Cathy to the day itself, everything ran like clockwork and the staff were absolutely fantastic. The hotel has many options for holding guest receptions for rain or shine, including the beautiful abbey itself, and Cathy helped us pick the best option for our...

We stayed here for three nights over October Bank Holiday weekend and it really is a beautiful hotel. The lobby is lovely with a roaring turf fire and very friendly and helpful staff. What more could you ask for on a cold autumn day? We stayed in a beautiful double room which, joy of joys, had tea making facilities. Perfect...

Our best stay in Ireland in a stunning and full of history castle. In the middle of a golf course and next to the orient express wagons you will really feel in an other century. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous and really comfortable. Excellent beds and linen. They propose a coffee machine in the room. Just the door of...

5 stars all the way. Stayed here when visiting Galway. We were worried the hotel would be too far away from Galway city center, but it was not: a quick 10 minute cab ride. The front desk can on-demand call a cab, which generally arrived in 2-5 minutes. And, it was very easy to catch a cab back. Costs less...
