After a little urban exploration a few days ago, my friends and I (all forty somethings) were horrified to find out about a fire gutting the building. I would like to continue with my urban exploration (urbex) and go to get pictures before its total destruction. I must add that my friends and I did nothing untoward whilst within the...

When I moved to the area in 2000 to the spit n sawdust anchor, this place had broken windows and was a right state, one day I plucked up the courage to peep thru the windows and all I could see was row after row of single mattresses and after some investigation through the internet with a lovely young man...

We stayed here for one night on our way to North Norfolk. Myself, husband and 12 year old son. The owner was very accommodating and provided a wonderful breakfast. The accommodation in a room at the back of the pub/ restaurant was nicely decorated and very comfortable.

The hotel seems to be up for sale. This was reflected in the standard of accommodation and service which was far from satisfactory. Not recommended

Not a particularly pleasant hotel. Rooms OK, but service below par. Not very helpful service. Breakfast very dull. Won't be staying there again.

Everything was excellent and cannot be faulted. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was of a very high standard as was the breakfast. Shame the weather was so bad as we would have loved to have had a wonder around the beautiful garden. Free wifi was an added bonus.

An owner-run hotel that strives to achieves very high standards in all areas, still with a helpfull family feel to it. The rooms are far above average in many respects, but the best aspect of the hotel is the restaurant, where you will be served a meal made with incredible detail and specification that will re-awaken your interest in fine...
