We booked 4 rooms, 2 family, 1 twin and 1 double. All very clean and comfortable. Great atmosphere, brewery ale and lovely breakfast and dinner. Staff and locals very friendly, enjoyed an evening of pool in the bar! Lovely surroundings and walks. We will return!

A welcome sight after three days of walking the Dales Way and the relaxing bath was very much needed. Had a really good pint of the Dent Brewery Ale and a good hearty breakfast. Good wifi and room was clean and comfortable.

There's nothing like a warm welcome and a good pint after a long walk. The George certainly provided this and we were then delighted with our room with a window looking out over the cobbled street and slate roofs of this pretty little town. Evening meal was excellent, with a good selection and some local specialities. Good portions for hungry...

Stopped a night here on our Dalesway trip. Dent is a lovely little town well worthy of a stopover. The George and Dragon is easily found as it is the second biggest place in the town next to the church. When we arrived it was fairly quiet but I thought is was probably just the time of day. In the...

There are a couple of hotels in Dent. We chose this one on our Dales Way walk as it had en-suite rooms. Mine had a bath, which was great as we had walked 20 miles, so that was a real bonus. The bar was pretty quiet so we decided to eat somewhere else, but it had livened up a bit...

Perhaps we should have realised why the owner of our rented cottage, 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Dent, had recommended restaurants which were all at least half an hour's drive away but after our first and only meal at the George and Dragon we booked dinner elsewhere for the rest of our stay. On arrival the pub was...

4 of us were walking the Dales Way and stayed here for one night on our route. Lovely traditional pub with nice rooms and good beer. Staff very friendly. We had a good meal in the bar and it was nice to just pop upstairs to bed as we were tired from walking - hard work lugging our bags up...
