Another reviewer summed it up nicely "Lovely property, nice gardens, good food. But exceptional? No." I would say the service is exceptional and the food and rooms are pleasant but nothing special. The wine is also ridiculously overpriced with a £6 bottle costing £65+, a decent bottle is over £100. You can add a wine flight at £109 or £250... More

My wife and I went here for her birthday lunch. We managed to get a cancellation at very short notice (helpful service over the telephone) and visited on a hot Summer's day. We were greeted enthusiastically and shown to the lawned area adjacent to the restaurant in the hotel grounds, where we were offered an aperitif. We both enjoyed the... More

This was a remarkable hotel- perfection at every turn. Well maintained, staff manners exceptional, service not matched in other venues I have visited. Went to have one of the taster menus and wine flight. Outstanding food and wines. The experience was a credit to Raymond and his standards, each person working as a team to create a heavenly experience.

We visited Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons for my husbands 60th birthday and enjoyed an evening hosted by Raymond Blanc. It was a truly memorable experience, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was just perfect. Our room was just stunning and every tiny detail so well thought through. Monsieur Raymond Blanc did not disappoint, he... More

Everything was amazing. The welcome in the lounge, the tasting menu and the coffee in a different lounge afterwards. tasting menu can give a structure to the lunch if the companion is new or it can be prolonged if the conversation is flowing. We matched the menu with the wine pairing for the full experience and all four of us... More

We went for my wife's birthday and will never forget the experience. The food was exquisite, the best taste experience we have had and the service was excellent from being greeted upon arrival and during the meal itself.

Our children bought us a lunch at the Manoir for a 40th wedding aniversary present. The whole experience was simply wonderful. The location is beautiful even on a grey November day, the staff are attentive and very friendly, and then comes the food! Utterly brilliant. We had the 5 course taster lunch with matching wines - faultless. If your not... More

I stayed here on business across a weekend. First impressions were good with valet parking and an invitation to sit in the lounge with a drink. All the hotel staff are very welcoming and the ambience is very relaxing. I had the privilege of doing four activities at the hotel; cookery class, champagne/wine tasting, garden & grounds tour, cocktail master... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Created by celebrated chef Raymond Blanc OBE, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is renowned for offering one of Britain's finest gastronomic experiences. Situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, it is also one of the country's most intimate and original hotels, with 32 individually designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel received two Michelin stars in 1984, the first year of its opening, and, remarkably, has held them ever since. Surrounded by lawns, flower borders and orchards, the luxury hotel enjoys an idyllic, typically English setting. But beyond the eye-catching displays are vegetable and herb gardens that provide the kitchen-and the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School-with ultra-fresh, organic produce, ensuring the Michelin-star restaurant remains at the cutting edge of culinary excellence. ... more   less
