This hotel is now closed, up for sale £2,000,000. The chef owner passed away earlier this year. His wonderful wife has struggled with health since. Look forward for someone good to take over. Such a beautiful setting, just refurbished after fire previously mentioned in a review.👍

Friends stayed here last year and it was truely awful. It is simply the worst hotel they or I had ever encountered. Such a shame as I actually spent my honeymonn in1983 in this hotel and it was wonderful with a great reputation for food. Avoid at all costs.

Due to a fire in the laundry room the hotel is closed for complete refurbishment. August 2012. The recent manager who has has caused complaints against the hotel has had his lease terminated. It is hoped the Hotel will be up and running in early 2013.

We stayed here summer 2012 and I have to go along with the vast majority of previous reviews - This place STINKS! Rooms - Filthy, black mould on walls, used soap in dirty bathroom, dirty linen, hairy carpets etc Staff - non-existent Food - microwaved meals (apart from the fish which I was sick after eating!), hair in food. My husband & I stayed at the hotel over a weekend out of season at The Atlantique. We were pleased to get a room as most of the other hotels & guesthouses were closed at that time of year. Each time we rang the hotel prior to our stay, the owners were very friendly & welcoming which was encouraging. They... More

In one word this hotel is 'poor' Food is a shambles, either get the order wrong or find hairs in it...... Room has light bulbs missing, flies everywhere, sheets are way too small Reception is always empty so you cannot get service Cant see the bottom of the pool, and probably would not want to Although the pool table is... How should I open this ? Arrival looks good from outside but once inside staff were scarce. When you finally get to your room going past the tea stained wall paper, the room was not clean. There were flys on the bed, moths in the bed, toilet paper stuffed in the fan, dog hair all over the place, open coffee,... More

My wife and I visit Guernsey frequently and have stayed here previously but not for about four years. The rooms had always been a bit dowdy but perfectly acceptable. When we arrived to check in, we had to find a member of staff in the restaurant. We were shown to our room, and the person who checked us in quickly... More
