We stayed at Chequer Cottage this week for a one night stay and had the most pleasant experience. The cottage is spacious, tidy, very clean and packed with well thought out little nuggets in the room. Debbie and David are unbelievably accommodating, Debbie went out of her way to try a new potato dish for our vegetarian breakfast. Do not...

The people are lovely and can't do enough to make your stay just perfect. The room was beautiful with everything you needed. The décor was lovely and it had it's own access. When we went for breakfast the table was so lovely with everything you could wish for. If you are looking for somewhere to stay then you've found it.

We had a wonderful one night stay at Chequer Cottage where every detail was thoughtfully anticipated. We were greeted with a pot of tea and lemon cake in the garden. The room was nice with a powerful warm shower. There were face cloths (appreciated by Americans!), and even a monition sensor night light for using the toilet in the middle...

My partner and I stayed here as we had a wedding close by. Everything about our visit was wonderful. The room has its own private access and it extremely clean and cosy. All the amenities you would expect from a large hotel are provided with the individual touches of a countryside B&B. The scenery and gardens are exquisite and breakfast...

What a delightful place. Beautiful room & delicious breakfast & we couldn't have asked for more. This was an ideal location as we were spending the weekend at the Duxford airshow & I would highly recommend it. The only downside was that we were only there for 1 night.

The attention to detail is second to none. We stayed in this lovely B&B last Saturday so we could visit Chilford Hall vineyard. We had such a relaxing weekend, and the breakfast was fabulous. Debbie and David made us very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We booked Chequer Cottage via Booking.com as we were looking for somewhere to stay around but not in Cambridge. I must say we were very pleased with our choice. A friendly welcome and a room which was just ideal for us. Clean, spacious and all the facilities you could ask for from a bed and breakfast. The breakfast itself was...

What an absolutely charming place to stay. The hosts were amazing and the location is great. The cottage itself is a beautiful old timber frame cottage in a one pub kind of village. Easy access to the main road into town or a bus stop right up the road. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy place...

I stayed at Chequer Cottage for the first night of a walking holiday along the Stour Valley. When I arrived Debbie provided tea served in the garden which was greatly appreciated after a long day's travelling. The room was part of an annex to the main cottage and provided with all the amenities necessary for a stay of one night...
