This hotel was boasting with character, the staff were friendly and the food was great! I bought a voucher for a spa day including lunch for my Husband and I, the spa facilities really weren't great and this side of things could do with some modernisation but the beauty therapists were amazing, the staff were very quick to get you...

Came here for the day as part of a living social deal. Had to pay a £10 refundable deposit for robes which was fine. Cant fault the facilities, lovely pool and sauna/steam room/jacuzzi. Was a little dissapointed they let young screaming kids in from 5pm... I had 2 treatments and during these all I could hear was screaming. I think...

Arrived before check in and was greeted by a very polite friendly front of house. James took or luggage. I explained I was quite fussy and didn't want a four poster room. James went above and beyond in helping us with finding a alternative room. Room was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Use of spa was lovely. Will defiantly...

Visited on groupon deal, use of spa with 2 treatments & 2 course lunch - excellent value for £39. Lovely welcome & given robe & small towel (bring your own flip flops). Lockers are free so no change needed. Small spa area, nice pool, little hot tub, sauna, steam room & a shower. 2 loungers & some tables & chairs...

It's not often you get to spend a night in a place almost 700 years old. And as a sometime hunting lodge for Henry VIII, its possible (not certain nor claimed by the hotel) that when we stayed in the Ann Boleyn suite, so did Ann Boleyn..... It needs a bit of a refurb in places. It fronts the main...

A friendly hotel, with helpful staff, the building dates back to the 12th century and although clean it does look a bit tired, nice touch with the suit of armour half way up the stairs though. Used the spa which was the reason for the booking while in the area and the sauna and pool were great but steam room...

Stayed here for two nights in a superior room (we were upgraded because we originally paid extra for a Saturday night and had to reschedule). Room was very big, chairs and the bed were both really comfortable and everything was clean. The decor in the whole hotel is somewhat dated and the portraits on the wall are a little creepy...

Well i shall not ever be returning to a hotel that is not family friendly. Telling me my daughter could not use the pool during the day, and especially in the school holidays, which is a complete and utter joke. I mean how the heck do i explain to an 8 year old girl that she cant go into the...

Dear rachie_255 Thank you for your review. I have looked into your reservation and see you have booked through Spa Seekers. At your time of booking Spa Seekers would have informed you of the children times for the spa. I have spoken to spa seekers and the reason they did not do this is because you booked for three adults...

Very old jacobean property full of character. Our room was very clean and comfortable and staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Spa was also wonderful and the massages we received were excellent. To top it off the food was delicious and always hot :-) would recommend a stay here.
