A nice country inn with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We stopped off here for lunch on route from the coast. Very friendly staff pleased to attend without being overbearing. Ordered and served drinks while we contemplated the menus. Food was freshly prepared, hot and well presented. Added this to our "good list".

I needed a no frills stop over on business. The plough was ideal, friendly attentive staff and good wholesome food. The inclusive breakfast was superb. The only reason I didn't award 5 stars is that some people may be troubled by the traffic noise.

We didn't stay at the accommodation but stopped off here for lunch. I had the shank of lamb which was extremely good! My father had the steak and kidney pie which was a huge portion that he couldn't even finish. It all felt very home made, fresh and tasty. The service was good and the place was fairly empty making...

Good portions of beef, pork or turkey and large selection of vegetables. Yorkshires were good too. I thought the selection of desserts could have been more adventurous, and also include something made with chocolate. Service was friendly and efficient.
