We had passed this restaurant earlier in the day, on our way out walking and thought it looked very pleasant, did a bit of internet trawling to check their menu when we got back and decided it was worth a try. Not disappointed in the least, had a great meal, waiting staff were well informed and pleasantly talkative, happy to...

I went here today for sunday lunch with my husband. It was very relaxed atmosphere. The food amazing. We had the pie and the chunks of meat were mouthwatering. The food really is top notch and the gravy was made from the meat juices so really traditional home cooked food. We paid 30 pounds for 2 starters and 2 mains...

The staff are friendly and the room charming, clean and comfortable. I had all I needed for my overnight stay and breakfast in the room suited me. I had an evening meal in the very busy restaurant, which was superb. It was piping hot, tasty and filling and served with a smile. My only regret is that I couldn't manage...

There aren't many old school traddional pubs left as good as this one , which is a real shame. If you are sick of Sizzling Brewers Fayre Toby Carvery etc then pay the Travellers a visit to be reminded what real food and service is like. The first thing you will notice on entering is the warm friendly welcome from...

Visiting a client locally, we were recommended to lunch at the Travellers. A good decision. Both the steak and ale pie, and the fish and chips were excellent, well-cooked and copious, the service attentive, the view was over fields. Even more commendable was the price. We have eaten widely, but two excellent meals at this price are hard to come...

I have not stayed overnight at the hotel as I live in the next village but visit regularly to dine. The food is excellent and down to earth. Always made to feel welcome by the excellent staff. Always have a good laugh when I go.

Called one Wednesday night and has lovely meal with friends all enjoyed it. I had a salad which was really tasty. Only criticism is my friend didn't enjoy her chicken which was on the bone and the chocolate brownie was on the dry wise. Good all round service and friendly staff, we will be back shortly.

Friendly and helpfull staff, and excellent home cooked fresh food at sensible prices. We will certainly be going again, and strongly recommend it. The only potential negative is restricted opening times, so suggest checking before you go.
