We had a great Sunday lunch here at their carvery.. Great choice of veg, which I love and lovely dinner.. However, we went back on a week night for a romantic dinner for two.. Food was exquisite and no wait, BUT atmosphere in the pub was truly awful.. Full of people at the bar who had obviously had a few...

We booked the hotel to celebrate our first anniversary. My partner chose it as she had been to the town before. Previous reviews are a little mixed so we decided to give it a try. It is an old building and there are a lot of beams and olde worlde features inside so expect no modern decor. The dining area...

I was thrilled to see a party of ten of my family as I entered with Mrs. Executive as a surprise for my, ahem, special birthday. She had chosen this venue after being impressed by it's imposing presence in the historic village. My suspicions were first raised by noticing that my son at the far head of the table was...

We recently stayed here for one night on a Saturday. The restaurant is short staffed and it took a while to receive our food, which was very tasty and reasonable priced. The room itself, in the outbuilding at the back, looked lovely, if not a little tired. The cleaning wasn't great as there was still confetti in the floor from...

So much potential in this historic inn at the centre of a charming village, but it's badly let down by what appears to be a lack of investment and - much worse - a sometimes shocking lack of awareness of customers' needs and expectations. First the good points: We ate here and stayed overnight; the food was generally quite good...

Room- the family room was located to the rear of the hotel near the car park. The room had a king sized bed with bedside tables, a single bed, a sofa, wardrobe (with a fan heater and hair drier inside) and a dressing table with tea and coffee making facilities on top. The furniture was dark wood, probably mahogany so...

Olde world hotel with oak beams, good central location and its own (small) car park. We stopped one night in a "family suite" to the rear of the hotel. Very big clean room, newly and tastefully decorated. Lovely bathroom. King sized bed and another bed for our daughter. Tea and coffee in room, and small tv with Sky channels. Wifi...
