I looked for a convenient b&b to visit a friend. I received a warm welcome including a freshly brewed pot of tea and biscuits. I stayed in the adjoining garden cottage which is particularly useful for people with mobility issues. There is a large walk in shower (although a reasonably steep step to access it). A plastic chair is provided...

This is the best B & B we have stayed in, the garden cottage was lovely and as it is away from the main house also gave privacy, we had our own key so could come and go as we wanted without disturbing anyone. The breakfast was lovely and cooked to perfection. Thank you Alastair and Woolfy we will certainly...

If you ever find yourself in a party of four or less, exploring the delights of the Stour valley, look no further than this place! Just spent two nights in the twin bedroom in the main house (my chums being in the garden cottage). Cobbles is cosy, calm, clean and comfortable, run by the most convivial couple in Clare! Superb...

We are two walkers and chose this accommodation for its location and twin beds. We were shown to The Garden Room and given our own gate and door keys. It was a self contained unit at the back of the house away from the street, and it was very quiet and quirky. We had everything we needed and were very...

When away from home my priority in staying anywhere, is comfort, cleanliness good food and a warm welcome. Cobbles ticks all those boxes and is good value for money. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and breakfast sets you up for the day!

Great hosts, lovely stay. Amazing breakfast, especially the bacon! Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in the beautiful village of Clare. Really enjoyed exploring the antiques shops and the river walk near the B&B.

The Garden Cottage is all that other reviewers have said it is. It is cosy, comfortable, warm and inviting with lots of thoughtful touches. You are left entirely to your own devices (although both Wulfy and Alastair are there to ask if you need to) and the breakfast is fantastic. Fresh produce and just done in a delightful way. Wulfy...

Wulfy and Alistair are the most delightful owners of this wonderful garden cottage. We received a great welcome from Wulfy and the dogs. Both Alistair and Wulfy are a fountain of knowledge on local history and are very happy to share their information with you whilst you devour a scrummy breakfast.

The Garden Cottage provides a secluded but warm, comfortable and relaxing base to explore the medieval charm of historic Clare or the surrounding areas of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. The cottage provides many home comforts including comfortable twin beds, freeview tv, fridge, self contained central heating and a great shower During my stay, the owners made every effort to make my...
