My first trip on my own to Goathland without my darling husband. We have visited many times but never stayed there. Pete and Sarah were wonderful hosts, offering a much welcome cup of tea and cake on arrival. My room was so lovely - immaculate, everything I needed. I don't really do breakfast unless I'm away from home and I...

Our first stay at Fairhaven but hopefully not our last. Chosen for the size of guest accommodation, plus giving us the lounge to meet up in, and the possibility of a group dinner during our stay. This was a group visit and nothing was too much for Sarah and Pete. We had a superb dinner cooked for us on the...

New owners Peter and Sarah made us very welcome and were extremely helpful enabling us to make the most of our first trip to the area including a short walk to the station to catch the steam train to Whitby.. Breakfast was really well done with a really good "special " each morning if you fancied a change from the...

Sarah and Peter made us so welcome, our room was spacious and comfortable, beds comfy, ensuite spotlessly clean. The whole atmosphere made us feel at home. Our hosts could not have done more and all with a friendly smile. We will be back!

My 5th visit to Fairhaven and every bit as fabulous as the others. Pete & Sarah couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. Rooms as cosy and comfortable as ever. Breakfasts are really yummy and definitely set you up for the day. My stay was over far too quickly and I can't wait to get back to Fairhaven as soon...

This was our third stay at "Fairhaven", now owned by Sarah & Pete who are very welcoming and friendly offering tea and delicious homemade cake and scones on our arrival. Continuing the "Fairhaven" tradition, breakfast was first class, setting us up for the day ahead after a great night's sleep in the extremely comfortable bed. "Fairhaven" is a lovely house...

Myself and three friends stayed at Fairhaven when we did a few days walking in the area. From arriving to leaving we were made really welcome. Sarah and Peter did everything you could possibly wish for to make our stay comfortably and stress free. They are the new owners of Fairhaven, and having stayed there previously, we know they've took...

Slightly apprehensive as there are now new owners. We should not have worried, the welcome was genuine and warm. The guest house was super with comfortable beds, great breakfast and top class service. The owners Peter and Sarah, are lovely people and cannot be more helpful. Recommended.

What a great find! We were so pleased to get a midweek late booking at Fairhaven Country Guest House this week. It was the most wonderful stay - a gorgeous Edwardian house, perfect service from Pete and Sarah - they are friendly, efficient and engaging hosts who were keen to make our visit just perfect. And it was; a spotlessly...
