This motel was poor 5 years ago, and I was dismayed when I found I had been booked in again for a weekend. On arrival I found that the door to reception was locked, and entry was via the adjacent (and equally tired-looking) Costa Coffee and (usually shut) bar. I managed to get my room key before the receptionist hurried...

Genuinely the worst hotel I have stayed in. It is seriously like something from a post-apocalyptic nightmare. The one member of staff tried her best, but was clearly under trained. Had to wait 20 minute to check in because the single worker was on a break. The wifi didn't work and when I describe the problem to the member of...

They say photographs never lie, well they probably don’t when the picture of the hotel is probably one taken a few years ago as looking around it was not easy to see where it was taken. The website also show photographs inside spacious rooms, amazing what result you can get using a wide angled lens does to a picture, where...

Read other reviews and stayed with trepidation! The car parking is extensive and free for guests, and was virtually empty on a Saturday evening. Reception had a bell and a pleasant staff member directed us to our room. The decorations, carpets and some fittings are tired, but the rooms and corridors were clean and the bed comfy. There was tea...

Welcome stop butit was very basic. Would not stop here again but have to say at the time we were desperate to have a break. Could not drink the coffee and sandwiches were in the stale side. Not a very inviting place

Last stay was Sep 26th 2016 at this ideally located Motel. It is in a beautiful and important region. ! have stopped overnight several times over the past 20 years, and have always been made most welcome, even being told about the local points of historical interest by the member of the Team, Chris, who booked me in. Yes, I...

The lodge is an uner average hotel with "ghost staff" They are never arounf when needed, either on arrival or departure. The procedure seems to be dragging somewhat out of costa coffee for any questions or help. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the "Hotel" is very tired and really needs an upgrade. Still very expensive for parking.

Myself and a colleague was booked into this "hotel" for a business trip to Northallerton. The hotel on the website looked ok and it had an onsite restaurant. On arrival, disappointment isn't quite the word. The outside looked as though it hadn't been painted for years - the paint was falling off all over the hotel, the wood looked rotten...
