There's lots of great pubs in Bedale but this was our favourite - really friendly welcome, superb service and a quirky feel to the place. We especially enjoyed the selection of vinyl records free to be played!

We had a lovely, relaxing overnight stay which we highly recommend. The room was spotless with tea and coffee available plus ensuite bathroom. Attention to detail to ensure a relaxing stay was very evident and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The breakfast was amazing

Booked in at the last minute when a space became available at the Harrogate Fair. No onsite parking but public parking close by. Early breakfast no problem - lovely well cooked. Both stairs and emergency stairs very steep - not suitable for the elderly.

Does the £60 include breakfast.
"Bedrooms are over the public house - quiet is not an option but things quieten down ca 11pm."
"Suggest earplugs if you are a very light sleeper as rooms are above 17th Century pub, which has single-pane windows facing Emgate."
