We did a three hour walk in the unseasonal cold and, freezing, were quite happy to find an open restaurant. The place was warm, people where eating in a corner and a barman stood behind the counter. Except that, notwithstanding the people having lunch, he said "The restaurant is closed." A drink maybe? "No, closed." So we went back into...

The hotel is situated in the mountains, about 20 min drive from Montreux. The road is very curly. But village atmosphere gives the rest from the noisy town. So it was calm and peaceful place. We had a lake view, which was fantastic. The room was small, but very cozy, having very nice bathroom. It could be some tea making...

My boyfriend and I stopped here for fondue after a long day of exploring Switzerland. Although we were the only people there when we arrived, they kept the restaurant open late for us! We never felt rushed while we were eating delicious fondue and had a magnificent view from the top of the mountain. Highly recommend!

We decided to drive a little way up the "hill" to Haut de Caux to where we were told was a first-class hotel and restaurant. Perhaps this could be a new trend to have each course at a different restaurant! Would they...

As always we spent two fantastic days at this lovely place. We like everything about it, except maybe the fact that even on a summer's evening there is no way to stay up a little longer than 11 pm. At this time the owner would turn off all the lights and you simply have no choice and no other restaurant is...

Set high up above Montreux, this hotel has stunning views back over the lake. An individual hotel with a unique style, it has a friendly atmosphere, with the staff and owners very keen to help. The location is breath taking and a ride down to Montreux on the funicular railway which is just a 100 metres away is an absolute...

I found this little Restaurant / Hostellerie and choose this instead one with bad review at lake side. The way up to haux de caux (spelling: "o-de-co") is worse and wonderful with very old train or you may take golden pass line. Hotel have nice coloured and lovely rooms, clean and comfortable. We got one with balcony and beauty full...
