Stayed 2 nights with work colleague and my dog. We had a great stay from start to finish. The room was good, clean and had everything we needed with kettle, drinks etc and lovely fluffy towels. The food especially the well known fish and chips was wonderful. The chicken dish and the red snapper were excellent too. This is a...

We have been to the Old Hall many times over the years for lunches whilst in the area and used to be impressed by both the service and quality of food. On good Friday we both chose as they advertised on their boards the " Best fish & chips in the dales" this was priced at £ 13.50. As you...

We visited the weekend before Easter and the hotel was probably 75% full, but I reckon it has about 5 or 6 rooms in the main building and maybe a further 4 or 5 rooms in the adjacent cottage. I got the impression the cottage rooms are larger capacity rooms and generally get better reviews. We were in the main...

The food is really good, the pub has a really great atmosphere and is really dog friendly. The staff treated our dogs like royalty, which made our holiday too. The cottage was very well equipped and pretty spacious. Brilliant.

What a find! Taken my disabled mum out to restaurant near skipton, only pre booked tables available. Asked where I could go, they suggested Grassington. Took wrong roundabout ,ended up lost. Driving around for ages and found this pub. The owner couldn't have been nicer. He pushed my mum up steep disabled ramp in her wheelchair and found us nice...

We have drove past many times before and decided to give it a go looks very welcoming from the outside. We ordered drinks at the bar and sat down near the open fire, great atmosphere and very friendly staff, the menu had great choice and was hard choose from, when the food arrived we were shocked with the presentation, was...

We ate dinner at the pub every night and had great meals every time. New Years Eve was an excellent night ,lots of...

Stayed here on NYE and overall I was impressed, but the room was a little small and had a very small bathroom. The bar staff were lovely, the ale was top notch..I am afraid I missed the breakfast as I awoke at 10.30am...or should I say I was awoken by a rather embarrassed cleaner. There was another downside in that...

We stayed in Monks Cottage next door to the pub with an enclosed garden shared only by the owners. The cottage was really comfortable, warm and welcoming. It was great for our dogs and the owners made us feel very welcome. The pub was lovely and they welcomed our dogs who were able to sit with us whilst having our...

Visited after walking in local area for a one night stay. Turned up about 5 o'clock with one young lady serving behind the bar she was pouring a pint and we were directly opposite her. No eye contact, no welcome a simple 'i'll be with you in a minute' was all that was needed. After a few minutes someone eventually...
