We stayed in a delightful ground floor suite in this lovely B&B. The quality of the furnishings and furniture would have done justice to a posh hotel. We slept well and woke refreshed. There were lots of little extras - teas, coffee, biscuits, chocolates in the room, as well as free wifi and a small TV. Breakfast was good as... More

Karen and Chris run a professional and personal b&b in a lovely location ideally situated for exploring North Yorkshire. Scrumptious full and varied breakfast is served in the stunning mill which has been tastefully decorated as has the rest of the farmhouse. Crisp white linen napkins were much appreciated! A comfortable bed and cosy lounge contributed to a most enjoyable... More

A really lovely stay such a pretty place with a peaceful & relaxed feel they lady that owned the B&b was really friendly & informative about the surrounding areas & good tips on how to avoid problems visiting these places. We also had a problem trying to book with booking.com so decided to call direct & they really put themselves... More

This B&B is absolutely first class and well situated for touring both the Yorkshire Moors and Dales we have just returned from our 5th visit so it must be good, which was confirmed by both couples having breakfast on our last day. I refer to this place as my Home from Home when in Yorkshire. Breakfast has plenty of choice... More

Picked the Cornmill because it looked attractive and was in the area that we wanted to visit. Only stayed 3 nights instead of the 4 we had booked due to unforseen circumstances, but very sad to leave. A lovely B&B in every respect, everything is top quality, especially the owners. If you want to visit the North York Moors, don't... More

This is an amazing place to use as your base when visiting North Yorkshire. It's in a great location close to the main A170 for visiting Scarborough, Pickering (North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR)), The North Yorkshire Moors, Castle Howard etc etc. It is also close enough to walk into Kirbymoorside of an evening too. The room we stopped in had... More

I stay at the Cornmill regularly for business and it is always a pleasure. Karen and Chris are always very welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are quirky and extremely comfortable Then there is the breakfast - I challenge anyone to find a better breakfast than the breakfast that Karen provides, it is fabulous and really does... Beautiful location, excellent couple running the place, very individual rooms, not 'Travelodge'!! Breakfast fab. The feature mill course running through the breakfast room was fab & the owners are obviously very proud of it. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is that we could hear the couple in the room above as the floor boards creaked & we could... More

Whilst it is not the best place (or the cheapest) that we have stayed in we could not fault the welcome and service from the owners. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was enough variety to satisfy most visitors. Is well situated for exploring the moors and is so quiet you would not believe the main road to Pickering/Scarborough... More
