We went on a road trip to see the Fjords and we stopped in Odda. The Hardanger hotel was the first one we saw and we are glad we saw it. Our room had an amazing view of the Fjord. Room was good. The beds...More
This hotel is nothing special, but it is in a great location if you are going for the Trolltunga hike. Odda is a small town which has little to offer except outstanding surroundings.
My room (no 316) was spacious but a bit tired (see attached...More
While the staff is lovely, this hotel definitely needs work. The single economy room (only one available at the time) I had cost me nearly 900NOK and reminds me of a college dorm room. Narrow and rather uncomfortable bed, with a strange off-putting smell. The...More
This was a lovely hotel in a good location that was perfect for our trip.

You can visit beautiful Latefossen (waterfall), 10 minutes drive from Odda. See Buerbreen Glacier (8 km from Odda + 1.5 hours hike). You can also drive to Kinservik (1 hour from Odda) and visit Hardangervida national park. Go to Voringsfossen waterfall, another beautiful waterfall. There are other short hikes in Odda (Eidesnuten, Rosnoss etc), but mostly open from June. Afterwards you can visit the Glacier restaurant just opposite to Hardanger hotel, to taste variety of cuisine from Asia, MiddleEastern and Europe. There is a library at the basement restaurant. Grab a coffee and read books (English and Norwegian). Its is open until 22:00 everyday.
The easiest and shortest route is by bus 930 from Bergen via Norheimsund. But I would recommend renting a car.
