We stayed at the resort for 7 days had 4 rooms for 8 adults and 5 kids! The personal touch started from the minute we entered - Cheryl Warkhandkar the front office manager made sure we had the most comfortable rooms catering to every age group including my 1 year old all equipped to the T complete with a steriliser! Chef Alex and Ananth’s Rana food is Michelin star - peri peri lobster, promfret tandoori, Goan curries and oriental food you name It! My 1 year old was made the freshest food for each meal and nothing was too much for the team. The restaurant team Syantika, Hilal, Vithoba, Zubair made sure our table was always attended to and were always making sure that all age groups were fully and personally catered to. The kids club is remarkable too our 5-9 yr olds have turned into talented artists and developed a love for art thanks to the very creative and talented Prati !! The New Years Eve event was very well organised and super fun for everyone and again with great food ! The musician in the Lobby Daniel is also very talented and brings in the spirit of Goa !
It is a wonderful resort with amazing amenities a very nice spa, great swimming pools, serene beach, creative and engaging kids club and the best team!

We went to Goa amidst the Corona virus scare, but found it to be the best time to be there. The plane was nearly full from Mumbai to Goa and also while on return. The weather was just right. The resort is located right on the Varca beach, which is quite and has very soft sand. It's very heart warming to go out on the beach for morning walk or for a swim during the day. You are also allowed to go out till mid night but with a caution and entry in the register. This time we chose to take the e-byke tours by BeAlive- Fun over Fuel, though it is quite costly, but it was worth while. It's a 3 hour journey in battery driven byke, which you may paddle also, and covers 3 villages nearby, a church, a farm and a local factory which makes foot mats from coir, of coconut shells. It was quite an experience to see the factory! The guides were also good and caring. On the way, we had sugar cane juice from a hand cart, which was very clean and hygienic. Next day, we hired a self drive car from nearby and drove to Paloliem beach. Spent the day at Sameer shack and took our lunch. Took a round of local shops there, had tea on the way back, which was refreshing. Club was celebrating Goan night with buffet dinner, but we thought it to have our dinner at the ala carte restaurant, as usual, to have it in peace and much more economical. Overall, it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Our daughter who had joined us only for two days from Manipal, heard that her college has been closed till month- end due to Corona virus, also came with us to Mumbai for a longer stay at home.

We planned our trip to Club Mahindra Varca Beach resort from 1st of November to 5th of November 2020.
How we got here: We were in North Goa from where we took a taxi all the way to the property which is located in South Goa.
Check in and rooms: Upon arrival at the property, we managed to check in within half an hour. Being a Sunday, the number of check-ins seemed to be more than usual but the staff at the reception were very responsive and quick.
We opted for a superior room which was spacious enough for the 2 of us. But if you want a room which is closer to the beach I suggest you opt for a Studio room or a 1BR room.
Food: While booking our rooms we opted for 2 buffet meals to be included with our stay. The buffet spread is excellent. The food feels homely and the taste and quality of food is really good. Non vegetarian food is kept separate from the vegetarian food, a big plus for Vegetarians like me. Also there are many Jan options available. Chef Anantha Rana makes it a point that he talks to all the guests during the breakfast incase there are any concerns with our food. One of the days we requested Chef Tina to make our favourite dishes which was gladly fulfilled by them the very next day. For food, I can rate Club Mahindra 5/5 any day.
Club house and activities: Daily there are many activities which are arranged for us in the resort. Miss Chandani and Mrs Kumkum are some of the staff who make sure we have a nice time spending our time at our leasure. Mrs Kumkum is an amazing singer and Miss Chandani is a yoga instructor. Yes, you can request a session of Yoga by the beach at 7:30 am.
Speaking of beaches, The resort has a private beach, Varca Beach. It's just a 10 minute walk from the reception and is one of the cleanest and most peaceful beaches in Goa. Since it's a private beach there isn't much crowd. Entry to the beach has no restriction but there are timings when the Life guards are available. So it's always better to enquire about their availability otherwise our visit to the beach at other times is at our own risk.
All in all we had a very enjoyable and lovely experience at the resort.

we came to club mahindra varca to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were taken care by the staff even before arrival. They called us days before arrival infoming us about the rules and regulations and the safty precaution. At c.in we got a grand welcome with a dance performance. They had all the safty measure at the hotel be it thermal temperature check, sensor hand sanitizer to the staff with all PPE. Later the food that we ordered from in room dining was well packed and delivered to room with utmost hygine and wearing PPE and the food was ways delicious keeping in mind that we were vegetarians. On the day of my husband's birthday they had a amazing setup at the unwinding with beautiful decoration and lots of fun entertainment show by the Happy Hub. Being a senior citizen and travelling in this pandemic i couldnt ask for more. I would like to thank Minkey, Piyush, kevin, sandesh,Rajender,Chandni, Krishna, Ushashi, Kumkum, prati, supriya,Rohit,shashank and all others whom i might have missed.

Being regular travellers, this was the first time we braced ourselves to travel once again after the pandemic.
Surely, we were extremely apprehensive about our trip to Goa.
It’s safe to say, we were pleasantly surprised at Club Mahindra Varca Beach Resort in Goa.
Upon entering, our car was thoroughly sanitised at the entry gate with temperature checks conducted. At the reception, our bags were placed in the sanitisation chamber and another round of temperature checks were conducted. The staff wore face shields and masks and kept a social distance white communicating.
A family of four, we had two one bedroom kitchen accommodations to ourselves; which were spectacularly clean and fogged by sanitisation machines before our arrival. The resort does not allocate rooms for about 24 hours after the departure of the previous guest.
During our stay at the resort, we were very well taken care of by the extremely talented and warm staff. Ajit from housekeeping deserves a special mention for all the attention to detail and heartwarming care he took of us on our stay. Every request was handling on an almost real time basis and delivered instantly by Ajit and the team of Shyam Jha.
Minky Sherpa was almost like a friend on the property for us. Even our small issues were handled responsibly and given utmost importance to by Minky. Her friendly and hospitable nature made it a delight connecting with her.
Our evening rituals involved walks on the beach and soaking in the shades of the sunset every evening. On the few times we ordered from room service, the food was quite delicious and authentic in flavours.
All of the above made us extend our stay and we definitely did not want to come back home, even though we were travelling during a world crisis!
We would like to thank the team at Club Mahindra for all their fantastic hospitality and care; and we cannot wait to visit again.

After previously staying at two superb properties of Club Mahindra, we had high expectations from this hotel. However, our experience was a complete let down. My wife and I stayed in a hotel unit for 5 nights. The hotel room itself was poorly designed with an incredibly small bathroom. There was no privacy whatsoever, our room opened into a badminton court. At all times in the day, we needed to keep our curtains closed. At times the WC in the bathroom was leaking leaving the floor completely soaked and the towel rack was placed directly over the WC, which lead to towels falling all over the place. Photographs are attached to highlight what I am sharing. On one occasion we came back to our hotel room to find that all our towels had been removed! The service in and around the hotel is poor. It is a property which has tried to cram too many guests in too little a space. While certain parts of the hotel infrastructure seem well made - such as the pool area - niggling issues like loud music, no soap in the showers and changing room and lack of fresh towels was disconcerting. This is, by no means, a luxury or flagship property of Club Mahindra. We did not feel catered to or relaxed while using the hotel facilities. Even organizing taxis from the hotel was a nightmare. On one occasion, we approached the staff in the lobby forty five minutes prior to leaving for our venue to book our taxi stating that we had reservations. We were told our cars would be ready. On arriving at the lobby to leave, we were made to wait for half hour until we walked to a private taxi stand and managed our own transportation. The staff were rude and inefficient. This was completely unacceptable and we lost our reservations at the venue!
What was most alarming (and unforgivable in the hospitality business) is that when we tried to speak to the staff and highlight these issues, we were confronted by extremely rude behaviour. On one occasion, we were actually told that since we were staying in the lowest category of rooms we would need to “put up with it!”. This was after we offered to pay for a better room or an upgrade of any sort. The beach was the only saving grace in our entire vacation.
As a frequent traveler, all I can share is staying at this hotel is completely avoidable.

Club Mahindra Varca is a beautiful property with lots of activities for elders & kids going on! Make sure you pre book the free activities you like else you will end up missing them! We had pre booked the sunrise yoga party. Frankly, I expected it to be a very ok yoga session, but Ms. Chandni, who was the instructor for the session was just too good! She took the effort of conducting this session just for me (as I was the only one who had booked it) and she’s so good! I liked her session so much that I requested for it for the next day also (this one was a paid session, of course) but she happily obliged to do it only for me. We did yoga by the beach which was the best thing I ever did! They also provided towels instead of Yoga mats as a COVID precautionary measure which I found quite thoughtful. Apart from this, the gaming and activity zone was fun with a really helpful staff. As for the restaurant, we had again pre booked the meals. The buffet spread was great but the chef, Mr. Ananta, happily obliged to serve us local Goan food on request. I have always found club Mahindra to be very accommodating to children’s needs and this time was no different. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed this holiday too! And no for the best part, the resort has an exit directly opening into the Varca beach! So you just have to walk out of your room to the beach- it is a long walk through the resort but it’s absolutely worth it. The beach is pristine with just a few shacks to eat at and not over crowded at all. One has to look out for jelly fish though- we too spotted a dead jelly fish at the beach. All in all it was a wonderful stay and club Mahindra Varca staff went out of the way to make our holiday comfortable and enjoyable!

This short vacation started with the warm and freindly welcome by musician Mr. Daniel. Thanks to the receptionist for giving is the choice location of room.
The resort is superb with lavish and well maintained swimming pools, kids activities and connected beach adding to the comfort.
Will give 5/5 to housekeeping staff. They did an excellent job dur.ing our stay.
Food, I will say it is little monotone. Can be better. The rooms I will rate 3/5 - they are quite big but need renovation. Shower pressure is low while the washroom chokes at times. Holiday activity area needs to be better maintained. Entire staff has shown good hospitality.
Overall an excellent stay with family!!
@ClubMahindra should note that cost of food and activities has grown steep over last few years.

Have stayed here multiple times in the past but now the upkeep of the rooms is really deteriorating. Basic hygiene standards are not being maintained. The property looks good only from outside but the rooms desperately need renovation.
The first rooms we were allotted had cockroaches coming out of the kitchen sink tap - The same tap which they say has potable drinking water. They don’t provide mineral water bottles in the rooms even during a pandemic.
The bathrooms were absolutely horrifying with dead insects. Foul odour when we checked in and even after it was cleaned. The taps and fittings are terribly old, rusted and barely work. The shower just gives a thin stream of water. Tiles are cracked and full of fungus. Exhaust fan doesn’t work. You cant spend even a few minutes without suffocating.
Housekeeping staff is really nice and tried their best but all these things are beyond their control.
One of our rooms didn’t have a working geyser and the ac stopped working multiple times.
Bed linen and towels are stained and faded. Bedframes are also cracked and have sharp edges. Luckily we noticed and escaped an injury.
Too many mosquitoes specially in the ground floor rooms. Only after we complained we were given a repellent liquid.
The safe deposit locker is not fixed to the wardrobes. Anyone can take it out of the room.
With respect to covid - we had to remind the staff to pull up their masks while entering the rooms.
The only saving grace was the food - their Goan food is excellent. The restaurant and housekeeping staff are helpful.
The managers tried their best to make up for all the issues but our 4 day stay was the most unpleasant and stressful. After complaining they shifted us to different rooms which were only slightly better. All this despite paying heavy maintenance fees to Club Mahindra every year.
The management needs to take this seriously, its a shame that one of their best properties has come down to such a level. Not at all worth a visit.
