Detailed Reviews
Wij blijven hier terugkeren!

This is definately a place I gonna recommend people who appreciate feel home when travelling. The house is located in a beautiful and quite place with a great view. It`s fully equiped with everything one might need, even if you are travelling with children cooking will be easy as the kitchen has everything you need. Marianna is a perfect host, understanding her guests needs without words. We`ve enjoyed our vacation at Alonia house alot. Thank you again, Marianna!

We have spent the last 16 years of our holidays at Alonia House. Marianne and her husband have become good friends over the years and we love the whole area and the village. We get invited to events in the village and can recommend all the tavernas for good food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Also worth a visit to Zygi 3 miles away for good fish restaurants. Limassol and Larnaca not far by car and Nicosia is worth a visit now that it is easier to travel to Northern Cyprus.

magnificent apartment with separate entrance
the owners are the most hospitable people we have ever met
Alonia has all you need for a relaxing quiet holiday
We stop here for the fourth time
very quiet and cozy
Kalavasos village is a traditional Cypriot village, where a lot of the surviving buildings are decorated in ethnic style, are used as hotels for tourists
In the center of the village a few taverns where you can enjoy conversation with wine, and traditional Cypriot cuisine
On one of these retro-tavern, I will write a separate recall
We will definitely return back in Kalavasos

We spent 2 lovely weeks in Alonia house. We were very warmly welcomes by Mariana who considered us more friends than guests. We had also the opportunity to buy some natural honey from her husband. When leaving we were very sad and about to cry. Really I cannot describe this feeling.

Wifey & I only spent one night in Alonia House but we were blown away by the quietness and beauty of the village of Kalavasos. The house was modern, well equipped, and peaceful !! The owner, Marianna, welcomed us warmly and makes us feel very at home. No major criticisms only we couldn't find the pool in the village and being part of Cyprus villages it has the usual threadbare towels issue !
Come here if you want peace, quiet and a stunning view away from the maddening crowds.
Ps. Watch out for the squeaky beds !!

Everything that has been written about this wonderful place is sooooo true. My wife and I stayed in Alonia House 2 for 8 nights in September and loved every minute of it. Nothing was too much trouble for our host, Marianne who also provided us with a pre-ordered 'get you in pack' with home made (delicious) honey. She also set up the BBQ on the night we had friends across who were staying nearby. We arrived late from Larnaca in the evening and got 'geographically embarrassed' . A quick phone call and Marianne came to the rescue, drove to meet us in, and then guided us in. Kalavasos village is a short walk from the house which we quite enjoyed; it enabled us to stretch our legs before our evening meal in one of the three very good taverns and then relax on the walk back again. There is quite a steep hill to Alonia house so could create a problem for those with a walking condition. For 1st timers, Marianne is a mine of information and will readily suggest places of interest, good local eateries and places that are a must to visit in that area.
In summary, a great place in a very friendly village. Thank you Marianne.
