We've eaten here three times in the past two years and recently combined dinner with an overnight stay in one of the rooms. The food is excellent - every time. Despite not even being formal guests, we have been overwhelmed and so grateful for the hospitality of the owners of this delightful guesthouse. As we needed a short break and wished to discover some of Emmental, we chose this « Landgasthof ». Very good choice indeed ! We stayed at the Löwen during the Trans Swiss hike. This is a traditional hotel and restaurant. The rooms have been partially upgraded with Ikea furniture (no issue with that) but kept some of their old charm. If you like it quiet - ask for a north facing room.
