Raiden (?) and family who hail from the Philippines are friendly, helpful and keep the place spick and span for the owners. The honesty bar is a lovely feature as is the ability to make tea/coffee and the place has been fitted out with style. We would agree that the lighting in our bedroom was poor and for a place...

This was a convenient place to stop, rest; sleep between Villa Romana and Agrigento. All was clean and the WiFi worked well. There is plenty of room. The young man who was running the place was efficient and met our needs. But – as habitual, world-wide travelers what comes to mind summarizing this place is “Form over substance.” For a...

This is a small old stone house that has been thoroughly modernized inside with whimsical decor. We were in the "family room" in a second house on the property. It was 2 spacious and comfortable rooms. One room had a king size bed and the second room had enough beds to accommodate 3-4 kids. The rooms look over picturesque fields...

This was such a pleasant place to stay--quiet and peaceful in the country. We did not have a chance to use the pool, but the location is perfect. Breakfast was very filling, and the best part was the cactus fruit--called Indian figs by the locals. Service is helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at La Casa del Poeta in late August – the house is beautifully restored and decorated with contemporary taste – excellent attention to detail – each room is a delight – and the authentic Italian farmhouse furniture is fabulous – we loved the cupboard/altar. A special mention for the smiling and courteous Raiden who...

We turned up at the hotel close to midnight due to our flight being late but that was no problem for them to show us around the room and facilities. There is an honesty bar in the kitchen that has drinks at reasonable prices which was welcome. The general ambience and design of the hotel is a modern and quirky...

We're a family of 4 and stayed for a week. La Casa del Poeta is just perfect. We loved that is was peaceful and quiet. Room(s) were spacious and beautiful, breakfast delicious and plenty, fabulous pool and super nice people running the place. It's a B&B, but looks like an Agriturismo. Emiliano gave us some great tips for area visits,...

All the rave reviews are well deserved - what a wonderful B&B! Raiden, Irene and the owner, Antonietta "Nietta" are all gracious hosts and deeply committed to making their guests as comfortable as possible. As you can see from the pictures, this is a B&B designed to nurture body and soul. The artwork, the books, the rooms and beds (great...

After driving through the clouds to reach this place, I immediately felt at home and could relax. Being a writer myself, I really liked the décor. Every little detail is worth exploring. The people we met were very friendly and they made sure that we had a wonderful stay, even though we only stayed one night. My dream is to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the nineteenth century Villa Grimaldi, today Casa del Poeta, the homonymous aristocratic family ennese spent part of the summer. The stone building is a few km from Enna and a few hundred meters from Lake Pergusa, linked to the myth of the Rape of Proserpine, and reflects the architectural style of the houses in Sicily: high ceilings, generous rooms, a cellar dug into the rock, around a lot of green and embellished pairs of majestic cypress trees. The villa has changed its face, becoming a home for poets, artists and sophisticated travelers. Large common areas reserved to reading and writing, listening to music, browse a bed, a wall-to-read, one write about, a chandelier that inspires poetry, enhanced by a room and artist's books, everywhere, libraries-containing, mainly, books of poetry and literature. ... more   less
