The Seiser Alm is one of the most picturesque spots in the Dolomites. Great for hiking and for families. The hotel is well located, comfortable and good value for money. I stayed over the Ferragosto holiday weekend and the hotel put on a special 6 course gala dinner for all guests, which was really great.

This is a basic hotel and does not pretend to be other. The rooms are clean enough and reasonably well appointed with functional bathrooms. There is no lift - disabled or mobility impaired guests be warned. There are no safes in the rooms, no minibar, no tea or coffee kit - it's basic. BUT - the staff were, without exception,...

My wife and stayed here as part of a walking holiday. We arrived at the hotel to be "greeted" by a surly and abrupt female member of staff who immediately demanded passports and booking info, as we had just walked for 6 hours and most of the paperwork was in the luggage we were not able to do this immediately...

The best thing about this hotel is that it is a relatively small, family run hotel. The owners are on site and lovely -- they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, even to the point of running to a pharmacy out of town to obtain something for my husband's blisters! Our package included breakfast and dinner,...

The hotel is a fairly standard 3 star. The rooms are OK, the beds rock hard (!) and the bathroom clean and functional rather than stylish. The room became very stuffy overnight and the only option to ventilate was to open the sliding doors on to the balcony - perhaps not the most secure. Compatsch is functional, not pretty. There...

The place is located right in the middle of the madness of Compaccio-compatsch (the main village of Alpe di Siusi-seiser alm and the starting point for almost all excursions ), so during daytime it is not so too quiet. The food is average and the drinks expensive (you cannot order a simple glass of wine at the table of the...
