If you are heading to the west country and want either lunch , dinner or a room this the stop off point . Charming well managed 16th century coaching inn run by friendly efficient staff in a cared for establishment. Lunches are well priced and well cooked with care. I booked the Woolpack to break a long journey and was really glad I'd chosen it. Compared with other accommodation in the region, it was extremely good value. The inn is located in a very pretty old village and it retains lots of the character of its surroundings: stone-flagged floor, beams, attractive exterior, etc. My room was also characterful with...

We visited after a long day at Longleat (it's very near). We booked by email but there was no need as we were there early (530ish). There is a carpark on site. We received a warm welcome and the pub had a good atmosphere with a nice mix of locals and tourists. There is a decent children's menu as well...

We stayed here for 2 nights over the long weekend. Our rooms were perfectly clean, staff was so supportive and attentive to all our requests. There is plenty of onsite and off-road parking. Very easy access to Longleat safari. Food and drinks were fab! Definitely will stay again.

We visited here on Easter Sunday and were served delicious food. A superb choice of vegetables on offer with the roast and the Yorkshire pudding tasted delicious! I had the vegetarian option which was a spinach, sweet potato & sage bake. The afternoon was made even better by Shaunna who attended to us. She is very cheerful, friendly and made...

Were staying at local Travelodge, and this was only about a ten minute walk away. All the staff were very friendly, and the food and drinks were excellent, couldn't fault it. A good range of things on the menu, and reasonable value for money. Would go there again if we were in the area.

Just had a weekend stay and found the hotel very dog friendly. We were able to eat in the bar in the evening and the staff also set a table each morning. We found all the staff very helpful and they made so welcome. The breakfast was the usual Old English Inn standard - very good with a varied selection...
