We had four nights in Holbecks House which was an excellent base for visiting the best of Suffolk. Perry was an excellent host and the full Suffolk breakfast set us up well for each day's touring.A quiet and comfortable establishment.

Plenty of space & good seating in living room meant we (4 adults) could relax in comfort. Kitchen is well-equipped. Good to leave the car behind, strolling down to Hadleigh town easy & great walks in the area.

We were looking for a restful break after a rather difficult time and Holbecks was just perfect. Elegant but understated and a wonderful warm host in Perry. The breakfast was great, very plentiful and beautifully served. Our friends joined us for our second night and we sat in the gorgeous drawing room catching up. I have to admit that I...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Unfortunately it was for my father-in-laws funeral in Hadleigh so we wanted some where we could retreat to. After a long drive, Perry was there to greet us and after showing us our room, had tea waiting for us in the sitting room. He is the most wonderful host and rightly proud of the...

...but it is so hard to do! It is especially impressive when warm hospitality in such an atmospheric, beautiful house is nonchalantly extended to a family like ours, trailing two young children and a dog. From a welcoming cup of tea in the beautiful drawing room, to a stroll down the tranquil lane down to Hadleigh, a peaceful night's sleep,...

A beautiful country house in a really quiet and relaxing setting. The large bedroom was very comfortable, and the shower excellent. Followed by a truly fabulous breakfast of delicious local produce. I thoroughly recommend Holbecks House.

What a beautiful place to stay. We received a very warm welcome with a complimentary cuppa on arrival in the guest lounge, which had comfortable sofas and a beautiful open fire. Our room was lovely with everything you could need. The breakfast was wonderful and all freshly cooked using locally sourced produce. Our stay here is highly recommended.

Miserably cold on arrival but cottage eventually warmed up. No spare blankets so first night uncomfortable. Shabby without the chic but a lovely setting and good location for visiting lots of places. Bathroom didn't invite close inspection...grimy in the corners. Well equipped. Working torches to support the power cut would have been helpful! Bins and wood store closer to the...

Old fashioned charm, everything I love, a sumptious country house with a warm and welcoming host, the lovely Perry. The house was charming, stately but homely. If you are looking for an hotel or B&B that is pristine with plastic luxury, then don't go there, this is a real house, a house with a heart and soul. I loved the...
