We enjoyed our stay at the Koukounaria hugely. It's has a very relaxed atmosphere, and is perfectly located just a few hundred metres from the main cross in the town so that it's quiet, but within easy reach of bars, restaurants and the beach. The pool area is good, and the pool itself very big. The poolside bar is great...

Finally arrived after a storm. Don't be put off with the short walk up to the hotel ,its lovely once you arrive. All the staff there went out of their way to help from the minute you arrive. Rina always greeted you with a smile and took time to give you the information you required. The limo restaurant is a...

We have never been to Zante before and with a tight budget we were happy with the 11 night balcony studio deal, booked through Thomas Cook. We like the freedom of self-catering but the facilities were very basic, not even a t-towel or dish cloth! We had taken a kettle with us, but when you're limited to 15kg of luggage...

After trying other hotels in Alykes we've been coming here for a number of years and it's still very good. Nice location, only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Alykes and the beach, with good views over the surrounding areas and across to the mountains. The owners and all the staff are very friendly, the large pool and other...

We had 2 apartments for a family of 5, the 3 youngsters over the cocktail bar which being end of season was thankfully quiet, not sure what it would be like in high season. We were on the top floor with stunning views. The rooms were very clean and the cleaners were excellent. The pool clean but rather cold. My...

We stayed here in July in a Comfort Apartment and having booked direct , the air conditioning was included and this was a god send . The apartment was spacious enough , immaculately clean and the view over the mountains was spectacular . We didn't prepare any food in the apartment as we were happy to eat out , space...

Stayed 10days from 05/09/2016 - room 333. I was aware that kettles and toasters were provided at cost - which seems wrong when offering self catering holidays. The air con is expensive. Wi Fi is only free in the reception area. The beds were so hard it was difficult to sleep. We have travel widely in the Greek Isles over...

We had two standard rooms at a lower price deal, looking to the interior courtyard. We liked the good sized terrace in the garden, close to the trees, where we could enjoy breakfast and dinner together with our family. We liked to see the old trees, and the beautiful nature, good kept garden. Great swimming pool, close to the sea,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our 4star hotel with total 78 studios, apartments and deluxe suites is situated in a beautiful lush green environment of colorful flowers and very old pine trees, with stunning sea and mountain views, just a few minutes walk (300m) from the center of Alykes and the wide, child friendly sandy beach with its shallow waters. We have impressed our guests, couples and families, of whom many are coming back for years, with our high quality services within a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. You will hear the village roosters, goats, swallow parents feeding their babies and many more village sounds in the morning; the smell of jasmine will captivate you in the evening, and at the same time you will enjoy 4-star services in a family environment. We are a little different than the usual 4-star hotels: You will not find staff with the typical uniforms and serious faces - we are a large family who is committed to serve their guests and we love to do this with a smile and a personal touch. Every guest is like a friend of the family that we haven't seen for a long time: we will offer the traditional Zakynthian warm hospitality. We want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and want you to get to know the Zakynthian kitchen, just enjoy your stay at the KOUKOUNARIA! ... more   less
