The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you cannot get away, since a taxi would cost 50 EUR for 10 km according to the reception. Additionally the hotel tries to make money of you at every step. I had booked a late check out for 50 EUR, first the wanted to bill me additional 5 EUR for the pool , 3 EUR for a bathing cap and at check out they tried to make me pay an additional 40 EUR for the late check out. The pool closes at 5 pm, which is ridiculous for a self styled "resort hotel". And there are almost no deck chairs for hotel guests since most are reserved by day guests. All in all a really unpleasant experience.
We stayed for three nights as we were attending a wedding locally. The hotel was lovely and the staff were first class. Everyone was very helpful and extremely friendly. Unfortunately the pool and spa area were out of action but it didn't matter as we spent time outside around the pool. The barman was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks he served. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a short visit as there isn't much to do locally
Rather dated rooms, some very small (bring a very small cat). It is close to the town where there are a number of places to eat, but it also has a very good restaurant. It is close the main road but there is little noise,
Initially we had reserved a 4 days stay at Grand Hotel Villa Itria but had to decide to leave the hotel after one night for the following reasons: - Hotel room (suite) was not as clean as we expected - The jacuzzi un the room did not work properly - Hotel staff were unfriendly and did not greet us or greet us back when we greeted them in the restaurants - Hotel staff did treat us differently than all other clients. We feel that as persons of color we were being judged because of the color of our skin. - Booking made via Hotel.com and as a Gold member I should have benefited from a 20% discount but the hotel did not give us that discount. - We booked a 50min massage. When we arrived at the Spa 20min before our treatments we were guided to the swimming pool and had to wait there for 40 min. Our massage began approximately 25min late but ended on the foreseen time which resulted in the fact that we have paid for a 50min massage but were given a 25min massage. - The breakfast buffet is very basic and there is only one choice of bread which is already pre cut which makes it quite hard. - Our check-in went smoothly and the pool boy is very nice and very effective. The rest of the staff treated us coldly, did hardly speak to us and made us feel very unwelcome. We could not stay 4 days in this hotel and although I already had paid for the entire stay, I preferred to book at another hotel.…
Went to Sicilia for a Wedding and my family and I stayed at the hôtel. Very nice place with superb staff, always here for us ( Thanks a lot Matteo ! ) And the bar... Very nice bartenders with godlike cocktails
This hotel was off the beaten track so I recommend you hire a car as there are only two decent restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is clean and modern and the swimming pool busy due to the fact locals have access to the pool. Our room was two tiered and as our bed was upstairs and the TV below that was a small issue, other than that I couldn’t fault the hotel or staff.
Great hotel, big rooms, nice personnel. If you have dinner at the hotel, Mateo will help you enjoying a great dinner. Ask for is advice, the service and the food is great. Good wifi connection which is important as phone coverage is limited in the area.
Well trained and friendly staff. Situated in a non touristic location but the hotel in the evening organised great events and so we didn't need to go anywhere else. For a relaxing day they have indoor and outdoor pool and a very nice spa.
Hotel with big rooms and discrete food in their restaurants Rooms a little outdated in need of renovations A little isolated but good for a conference I didn’t try the spa nor the gym so I cannot comment on this Big parking on premises
This was really a bad experience. I was expecting a relaxing stay in a spa hotel, but I found myself in a kind of club med ambiance with pool parties and hammering bass in the room. Impossible to get asleep. So if you’re after a discotheque experience don’t hesitate to book here. If you want a quiet stay, go elsewhere. There are other beautiful hotels just around the corner, where the guests needs are expected.
